this is a very informative video. Here's my problem with these platforms. You have to have an unusual item, a diy craft, something that people really want. For example, if everybody on TikTok is a custom T-shirt shop, then that space is going to be crowded. How do you stand out? There's going to be a crowded space at Tik Tok and everybody on Posh, Whatnot, etc. is going to rush to Tik Tok.

Tiktok gives the discount to buyers. The seller still receives the whole amount. Tiktok shop is doing this to get more buyers on platform since its relatively new. But right now it starting to get alot of drop shippers like etsy.

Hey chica. Did they make you flip to a business account? When we tried our shop, it wouldn’t let us keep our creator status, and it feels like switching to a business account tanked our views. Looking at yours gives me hope… are you paying for any advertising, to keep your views up, now that you’ve gotten established? If you are doing advertising, are you comfortable sharing a ballpark of what you had to spend to maintain traction? Your video taught me so much, just really trying to figure out if we can swing this.

This is a very interesting and helpful video! I just started a small business on etsy and shopify. My kids keep telling me I need to get more into tiktok, but my retail inventory isn't huge right now. Question, I use Etsy to ship my Etsy orders, but could I also use Shopify to fulfill? Do you know if shipping is about the same cost? How would you recommend setting shipping prices if you have both Etsy/Shopify? Is one rate better than the other for buyers? Thank you for your tips!

Tik tok on Dec 6, said shipping/handling can be set at 1-10 weeks. Is this true? Why do they say 3 days? This is what stops me. I make quilts and do not have/can't keep inventory. I need 2 weeks to fill an order. Thanks!

They just increased the referral fee from 2% + .30 cents to a flat 8% today.

Did you have to purches the license from them to be able to sell the 👕 with they characteristics, etc I am new to the business and I do not know how the copy right works here. I read about it and I know they are overprotective regarding they characters or anything what might be resemblance of they products. Can you sell the Ts on Etsy without buying the license?

do you have the ability to set a max stock limit so you do not get bombarded with too many orders based on your blanks inventory so you don't have a bunch of orders that are late due to waiting on more blanks.

I finally figured out how to turn off the tiktok free shipping but, can't find any solid videos on shipping settings. Tiktok charges way less for shipping versus what we're paying so, we had to pull our products out to stop the sales til we could figure out the shipping settings.

Yes you talk fast but I can tell you are just trying to pass on valuable information they you have in limited time. It’s interesting that these platforms are so powerful that they can create great opportunity, big spikes in orders but then you have the real world logistical challenges such as the lady at the post office that quite simply doesn’t want to scan 300 orders I don’t blame her. Technology creates growth spurts which lead to organisational upheaval and even destruction but I can tell you can dynamically adjust to the challenges. You did wonderful job. I understand you was so overwhelming busy. I understand how stress and try to get finish from the order and send shipping. My idea to help you. Why don't take your time 3 to 5 days to send ups or post office. Take your time to get finish that from who orders it. That mean you have good depend with your kids. Or ask volunteer for help to give to UPS or Post Office. I don't mind to take time for 5 to 10 days. I don't mind it. Please no hurry, get your time, be good ordination. :)

I have blanks on hand but if I was starting from scratch that wouldn't be possible, I would recommend having at least 2 of each size on hand since tiktoks processing time is so low

Your buyers shop directly on your TikTok. You don’t need Shopify to use it.
