Hey I liked that you used other eye shadows for your looks as well. I don't like the mentality of "just using one palette" for a look and then critiquing the palette because it didn't have a transition shade, or it didn't have the right transition shade, or it didn't have a deep enough shade or whatever. That way of thinking has made palettes boring. Everyone has a million transition shades in their collection and people should be happy when companies don't put unnecessary shades in their palettes anymore.

I kind of agree and kind of disagree... Imagine having a limited budget ? Now of course there's unnecessary shades and that's tiring, and yeah on palettes that do not cost so much money as you can kind of buy another one or a single eyeshadow with it because of it's low price, it's less disturbing to have... Unnecessary shades. It can still be btw if that's the only thing you can afford. But on expensive palettes maybe someone spent his.her whole budget on it and can't afford even a single eyeshadow with it. On these cases these unnecessary shades are kind of welcome. Because paying for three useless shades that are the same or close on a palette of idk 50$ is annoying. Really annoying. What's more annoying is paying for a colorful palette with half neutral just to have "enough transition shades". They are all the same but yeah. Ok. Cool. No problem. Now what I really wanted to say is that when you are on a budget maybe you can afford only one palette a year (it happens) or complete with only one or two single eyeshadows, and maybe as you're limited you don't want to specifically spend money on a transition shade you won't use for something else. On these cases it's kind of annoying to watch a tutorial with that palette you have and see the person using other products. Sometimes it's one or two that don't have to forcefully be used, the case where it's not annoying, sometimes it's far more than one or two and other time it's one or two but a one or two that does(do ?) everything. And you are with your palette... Wondering what to do, how to do, etc. I don't think people should censure themselves and if they want other products of course they can and will use them ! If they don't find the palette sufficient they say so (and maybe someone on a budget won't buy it and will buy something better for them !). I dislike the mentality of "one palette only" when it becomes an oppression and hold back people from doing what they want to do however on that case it's a mentality which comes from a reality. Not everyone can afford several palettes and single eyeshadows. Still they want a palette and examples, and they have the right to ask for it... If it does not become oppressive of course. (and I'm not an SJW for poor people... It's also our responsibility to look onto what we are buying, thinking about it, saving money or saying no to palettes we like but which will need complements.)

@@leilazerrouki7040 Hey I agree with you, I for the last two years have only bought two palettes every year, and all of them have been budget palettes except one. I don't want to spend on a lot of eyeshadow either. But I'm also a bit of a panner, so for me it makes sense that when I buy a new palette, I pair it with my old palettes, which have all had transition shades that I never ended up using much. But I do agree that it definitely is a lot more costly to buy a palette knowing that you will have to buy extra singles to use the palette the way you want to use it. That's not what I meant. I just liked how Angie used existing shades in her collection to complement her new palette.

I totally agree, I use at least 2 palettes most mornings when doing my makeup. I think most people have more than one palette and if they don’t this would most likely not be the one they choose for their one and only palette. I understand budget buying and if this really is the palette someone on a budget wanted they could pair it ( or the it’s my pleasure palette) with a very nice Wet and Wild palette for under 5 dollars (and usually on sale at the drugstore for even less) and get countless looks from just 2 palettes 🤩🤗🤩

I also watch a professional MUA channel, and he mentioned to buy a single of the color you use as a transition shade, there are good singles under $7 in the market and still last many months. In that way if you only buy one palette you may feel less limited, because it doesn't have that "one beige you need"

The best possible time for this video! My palette arrived yesterday evening (with Oh Lalaa palette) and I was planning to try it tomorrow and now I got a starting point. Green eyeshadow is my thing and I noticed that I couldn't decide at all what to do first with the palette so now I have my looks planned for the next three days at least :D and I can't wait to pair it with my other eyeshadows, I think this will be wonderful with JD Glow's shadow Prismatic. I will also take this palette to my next travel which is in two weeks, it's so nice size and mirror seems qualified too. Thank you for the great video again, you are a real source of inspiration

These looks are everything!! Love the jelly shadow as liner. I like how you mentioned that liner doesn’t have to be liquid. I usually use a dark black or dark color shadow as liner because honestly I’m lazy and don’t want to dig out my gel liner pot and brush 🤷🏻‍♀️

As an owner of 3 not-outdoorsy cats, I have to warn you - the shedding goes on all year round... but also- I love your realness and all the "let me take the cat hair from the brush"- in the era of everyone being beyond perfection on social media, some honesty and realness is much appreciated. Often times I find myself feeling shitty when I see the all-perfected and unreal people on the web, like I will never make it to their "standards", and knowing all of this is filters and photoshop doesn't help at all

I love all of the looks but #2 was amazing with that green liner! So gorgeous! I love how you put these together! Because you've spoken so highly about the Iconics lashes, I picked up the Iconic lights and I hope they are as nice as yours as the Iconics. I love HOL's lashes anyway and glad to give these a try. I love the video!! In the 80s, we never used lower lash colors (at least not in my circles) and loved how it looked. We all used bright and vibrant colors then too, so I have always worn colors that are bright and vibrant. I think that is why I gravitate to YT influencers that have a similar like of colors... :)

I bought a few of those devinah matte greens (courtney, crixus and elphaba) specifically to go with the olivy greens in this palette and they work beautifully! I do love the brighter greens in this palette but I honestly bought it for those olive tones :) So glad to see your looks with this palette!
