This performance, when Angelina was 12, is not a finished, polished performance. According to the guitarist, Ivan Mendez, all the "raw" home videos like this by Angelina & him, are just the 1st or 2nd take of an unplanned, unrehearsed song. Angelina has to look up the lyrics to read while singing since she doesn't know them well. Ivan only had about 15 minutes to familiarize himself with this song. She says "just follow me" while grandma Mery starts to record. There is no post production of these "live" performances including her perfect imperfections (like missed low note). The reason Ivan displays emotion & stank face throughout the performance is because he is hearing this for the 1st time, since Angelina is making up the arrangement as she goes along. Her genius musicality & emoting skills are really on display here.

Aurora is 26-27 years old Angelina was only 12 years old with this amazing performance and you can’t compare them as they are totally different vocalist, and Angelina is a master of low notes it’s the way Angelina arranges this rendition,Angelina can hit the low notes when she wants too!

Fanatic fans are funny. I ADORE in every way possible Angelina Jordan Astar, and I totally prefere when she performs low songs , as I said during my reactions. The age doesn’t matter at all because when you are good in singing you can sing well since you are a child and if is not your attitude you can be also 30 years old but still can’t do it. It is totally normal for a so young girl in this tone choice by the guitarist to have struggles to catch the lower deepest note of the song 🎵. This thing doesn’t matter you are not good in it, this is so true that for me Angelina perfectly did it almost all song long . Both low notes were the end of the same phrase and Angelina typically ends her phrases very airy and softly. We have heard her sing lower notes. In "I'm still holding out for you" (she was 10 years old) she nails the lowest note in the middle of the phrase and whispers the same note when it ends the phrase.

I do not like comparisons. It is not a question of who is better. The goal of any artist is to be better than themselves previously, not better than others. Some have better vocals, some are more soulful, etc. It's a question of whose interpretation resonates more with you and which you prefer.

Just finished watching the Aurora reaction and left a comment. As I stated in the Aurora reaction, they are both amazing but 2 completely different artists. Aurora was 20 years old and Angelina was 12. To me tho, no other artist can grab my attention the way Angelina does.

it's true that the deepest notes didn't come out brilliantly.but that doesn't matter.because angelina didn't give a damn whether the note came or not.she doesn't think in such narrow limits.she just sings it.and that's why i admire her so much.she can't be narrowed down.she knows how to give soul to a song.and she does that.i much prefer a breathy, imperfect, deep tone from angelina to a styled, artistic highest tone from other vocal acrobats.music is soul and feeling.a circus act brings a unique chill effect.that was it.after the third time such a circus experience becomes boring.because a sensation has no soul.

I don't think I've heard 'In Boxes' by Aurora and will listen to your other reaction immediately, and I will try to listen without prejudice, and basically I like Aurora but I don't love her as deeply as I do love to listen to Angelina. And I have to tell you that especially against this Adele cover by Angelina it is almost impossible to win, because I have a deep connection with Angelina's version... I have told this story maybe a handful times before, and if I was as smart as others I'd save the text somewhere to have it ready whenever I need it, but I'm not smart, or I don't like c&p, so every once in a while I tell it anew, but only for amici cari come te... So this is how it went: It was winter, January, nearly two years ago... Shortly before christmas I had discovered a young singer from Norway who was breathtaking, my first encounter with her was "I Put A Spell On You" on a reaction channel, and I had also seen Bohemian Rhapsody and Yellow Brick Road on AGT, and "I'm Feeling Good" live on the stream Gir Tilbake... I think that was all I knew by her, then there were the holidays, I went to Monaco to see my family, so it was only on January I was back and had some time for myself and one evening coming in from a day in my garden during making fire in my stove I remembered Angelina and decided to listen to another new song by her... looked through the suggestions... "A Million Years Ago" - that sounds interesting (didn't know Adele's original then...). As I was busy with warming a glass of Primitivo in front of my fire I didn't watch the video, just listened to the audio from my sound system... and Angelina was only a few lines in when tears started floating my eyes and running heavily, and they were not tears of joy, because it was a terrifying experience in the beginning, it felt as if Angelina's voice like some claws grabbed right into my chest and tore my heart out. I could not stop the song and I could not stop crying, and when it was over I played it again and continued to cry, but with repeated listening something changed. I experienced how Angelina, after having taken my heart out, again with her voice, carefully mended it, taking away some worn out pieces that were of no good use for me any longer, bringing the remains into a new, more harmonic order, and adding some new pieces, that would be more helpful in the future for me, and after putting it all together again gently laid my heart back again to the place where it belongs and was missing... the whole process took about 12 repeats of the song, only after that my tears stopped, and a feeling of deep love and thankfulness floated my heart and soul. The whole thing was rather a spiritual than a musical experience, and now you can see why this song is special to me (I now love and enjoy it and am smiling when seeing your reaction...) and Aurora would have to not only sing beautifully, but touch me as deeply as Angelina did with this one... Anyway I'm sure it'll be amazing as well, Aurora is a great artist in her own rights, but on an emotional level she doesn't get as deep with me (so far...) - let's see... Even in this casual, non-rehearsed presentation, did Ivan on guitar do anything but ad-lib as he followed her lead as she needed to read the lyrics off a tablet at her side. Still, to me, she brings forth more emotion laden penetration than Adele.

I really don't like these "against" comparisons. It is not a competition. Both of those artists would be thinking in terms of cooperation, not competition. There is room in the world for both of them, each with their own slants/takes/styles. Just MHO, and you can do what you want. I remember a few years back in Seattle, there was one place that put up signs advertising for business, "MASSAGE WARS." Really? Something that is supposed to be relaxing and soothe out tensions is at war? The practitioners are at war in competition with each other? Does this make sense? NO. LOL!

Really, there are no "choices" here. Both these Norwegian vocalists are tops in today's so called artist they feed us in the current music industry. There is never any "competition" to either of these young ladies. Many a reactor has tried this "competition" thing with Angelina...really no point IMHO and definitely will not increase your views.
