Grey Wolf, don't move away from Angelina prematurely. You're my favourite reactor, always adding value to each of Angelina's performances. Talking of taking you back, this certainly does for me. Starting in the late 50s, I waited impatiently for every new music release from Elvis. As soon as one came out I bought it, and started listening to it every minute possible. There was a time I knew every word and every little twitch in every one of his songs. For years I was sure that no one could every replace, or even come close to equaling his singing talent. He WAS/IS the KING! In 2014 I heard for the first time a little 7 year old girl singing. I said then that one day soon we would have a QUEEN of music! Today we have that queen!!!! I am just like that teenager back in the early 50's/60's except now I am always waiting for something new from the QUEEN of music, ANGELINA JORDAN!! And when she sings, especially an Elvis song, I get the same feeling I did 60 years ago. Pure pleasure to the soul, the mind, and the heart!! Oh, and this one and "Love me tender" were my two most favorite Elvis songs!!

Thanks for another great reaction. This is indeed a classic song and she makes it her own in a way that only she can. Her guitarist is also a perfect match for her. You can see him watching her, never rushing her , never over powering her. He is the perfect compliment to her vocals. Not to mention he must be in heaven each and every time he gets to perform with her. He knows he is in the company of one of the greatest artists of all time and it must be mind blowing every time he sits next to her and listens to the magic they produce together.

"I'm feeling good", gives me goosebumps under my feet:)) The funny thing about watching first time reaction videos and they start with " I put a spell on you", is face when they can't put the voice with what they see:))

Spot on about her versatility. That is why she must remain an independent. I know the music industry is in transition, but if the old school music execs had their way, she'd be put in a one dimensional box. Remember Elvis very well from my youth. Elvis has been a favorite of mine since watching his performance on the Ed Sullivan Show. And since discovering Angelina last year on AGT I can' seem to get enough of her singing. Elvis Presley sang this in 1961, but it was written by Hugo Peretti, Luigi Creatore, and George David Weiss. (The melody is based on "Plaisir d'amour", a popular French love song composed in 1784 by Jean-Paul-Égide Martini). If you listen to the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/a32QgJ1mjLChmJo which is just under four minutes, you will hear the underlying tone of "I can't help falling in love" by minute 1:33 of the song. The song was later translated to French and sung by Marianne Faithfull in 1966 which was a beautiful rendition, but Elvis was indeed the original singer. I love Angelina but she clearly got lost in the lyrics at the beginning where I guess she wanted to change the word "men" to "women" to match her gender, but it came out sounding like "Wen"; but with a voice like hers, all can be forgiven. Kudos on her for not getting flustered. I never see her get flustered, though I have seen her eyes show glimpses of exasperation when her band goes off. But she never loses her cool.

There are several things that make Angelina a great singer, but one that is often over looked is her restraint; she never rushes it. She's very comfortable bestowing negative space within the song, which builds anticipation and heightens emotional resonance. She uses restraint to help us feel the meaning imparted by the lyrics. No performance by Angelina exemplifies that more than "Wicked Game". Which for me, is the best version ever of that song. Angelina loves Elvis, and she has covered him at least 6 times. after watching so many songs from Angelina my conclusion is that she loves challenging herself. She must be thinking about what she can do with a song, her way. There is just one element in common with all the songs: her tone... is so appealing that you can't stop listening to the lyrics and also can't stop watching the same songs over and over.

As always - again; - it`s such a pleasure to follow your journey down the "Angelina path". 11 years old. 2017 appears to have been a rather busy year to Angelina. Beside school and everyday life of young girls, she gave us all these great videos throughout the year, did quite a few conserts during the summer, AND doing all the rehearsals and recordings for her "Magic" album. BTW that album even includes this song, as the final cut on the record. I agree with you, Angelina`s performances mostly stand out at her very very best, as she does these acoustic versions. As the musician are abel to follow all of her subtle details, - in melody, tempo, pausing and so on. It is quite a blessing to be able to follow her days and years on her path up among the greatest of stars. "As she sing in her own song; - " maybe life is you and me, shine like a star in the darkest sky". For sure, she belong up there, to shine her bright musical and humain light all over this world.

Regarding home recordings: actually, Buddy Holly was making good-quality recordings at home in the late 1950's, just before he died. So, not only was the technology there at the time, but if you knew how to use it, you get very fine results. [grin]

GW - Thank you for yet another great reaction to Angelina. We fans really appreciate you doing so many of them together, and the very insightful comments you make about them. What gets to me every time on this track is when she sings, "For I can't help", and puts the turn on "can't". She makes it sound so easy, but it is very difficult to do stylistically. Many singers can't do it at all. May I request that you react to Angelina singing, "Every Time We Say Goodbye", the Ella Fitzgerald hit from when she sang The Cole Porter Songbook in 1956. It, like many of other of Angelina's performances, is a masterpiece in its simplicity and emotion. And, she sang it outdoors on a rooftop! Big news coming! Angelina's uncle and manager told Music Norway in an interview that she has signed a contract with Republic Records!
