Great idea to play these two performances back-to-back! They are both mind-blowing in their own ways and the combination shows the developing style along with the emerging vocal maturity already visible at age 10. It is a clear promise of what was to come. And. we are still on that journey!

Thank you, BPD! Both performances are remarkable, regardless of age. She sang the first in the sty;e of Ella Fitzgerald, and the second more in the style of the original aria in the musical opera Porgy and Bess, with a much slower tempo.

1st Angelina’s winning performance on Norway Got Talent Summertime , second rendition Kork is the name of the orchestra, also Angelina cover of Back to Black also featured the Kork orchestra, great performances from our musical genius, thanks 🙏

As a National Treasure of Norway, she has had the opportunity to perform with the best musical accompaniment Norway has to offer, and KORK is one of the orchestras she has performed most with over the last decade, and even today they performed at the Nobel Prize Ceremony, her second time, and with her philanthropic nature, she may soon get the prize herself.

KORK is the norwegian acronyme for the Norwegian Radio Orchestra, a HIGHLY respected orchestra there. It is seen as a honor to be invited to sing at this intimate happening in summer. Even Norwegians wonder who felt more honored being there KORK or Angelina, their National Treasure. This is not a joke, at age 8 the people of Norway declared Miss Angelina Jordan Astar, The National Treasure of Norway. Her music expertise, even at this age was and still is so high, that seasoned musicians followed her advise. She got the nickname THE BOSS, even without bossing. There is a video of her practicing for the NGT final. This sweet little girl in her own polite way explains to the trumpet player how she wants it done. Very astute observation to note her call back to the trumpeter. On the KORK version, again very astute. Her jazz inclination is to slow down tempos in songs as part of the Angelina treatment. It allows her jazz inclinations to apply various ornaments and techniques but always to convey the emotion and meaning of a song. It is why she connects so strongly with fans. She is a master at singing a story. Always for the meaning...

Summertime I am a huge fan of Angelina Jordan and her rendition of Summertime when she was only 10 years old. I have watched that video at least 200 times, and every time I hear the orchestra start playing, I feel a surge of emotion. Her voice is so pure and powerful, and she sings with such passion and soul. She delivers one of the most amazing performances I have ever heard in my life. © Larry D. Pifer

Norske (K)ringkastings(ork)estret the Norwegian national Radio Orchestra they have played for her several times as a whole or in smaller segments through the Years from the start to just few days ago at the Nobel peace ceremony and they are proud to do it 😊 Angelina is known for Never singing the same song in the same way twice. But every time she sings she is totally emerged in the song as you saw her looking over to the trumpet player when he missed his part but she didn't let it disturb her for a millisecond, it was her arrangement and already a pro 😃👍

Your comment about seeing a rehearsal with an orchestra like this and the interplay is very keen. There are many videos available of exactly this nature. The most interesting was one where she asked the band to change three times before she got the tempo and backing she wanted for the Etta James classic "At Last". You could hear the improvement with each take. There is also a video of the actual performance as well. Fascinating.

@@summaEngineer It's funny AJ's rehearsals are a sub rabbit hole in themselves. After watching them you feel like part of the band. Then watching videos of the family make you feel like a part of the family. It's unbelievable the view we gave been given of the growth and development of such an incredible artist.

Very Very Very cute at 18 months, but a bit extreme for a reaction as stand-alone 😁(not that That was the suggestion 😀). However, I will see if I can get BPD to work it into an upcoming Reaction. After all, NGT at age 8 is NOT the start of Angelina's 'art'. There are 3 more NGT performances, at least 2 of them before she turned 8; then there is also 6yo Angelina in the Studio for the first time Ever. I will see what I can do ! Jim

Among the artists it is considered an honor and awards to receive an invitation from KORK. Once again, Angelina (10y) proves her musical talent. She reinforces the fact that she has always been a true 'Jazz' specialist, for in the genre of 'Jazz' a singer will approach the same song differently each time they perform it. At 8, she was accompanied by a minimal amount of musical instruments, whereas when we hear/see her later, there's a full orchestra at her disposal. In this performance she 'slows' it down considerably, stretching out the ends of lyrical lines in a beautiful unique manner.
