I heard this voice for the first time 5 days ago thanks to my son and my response was who in the h.... is that. I'm 76 and have seen and heard many great artists but please at 15 - 16 years old this young lady is just mindblowing. I was born in Denmark so Norway is just up the road so to speak but I live in Australia which makes me wonder why in the world, to my knowledge, havn't I ( we } not heard of this young lady long time ago. Finish school etc. She is signed with Republic records, as their priority new artist, but they to are patient. Let me just add that I watched her Elvis Presly cover several times ( Suspicious Minds ) and on two occasions and for a fraction of a second when she turns her head slightly to the right her mouth is so Elvis Presly. It's quite uncanny, I don't know if anyone else have picked this up, but you have to concentrate purely on her mouth to pick it up. I don't know if she herself is aware of this but it's just amazing!

Angelina's growth with this song has been incredible. When she first published a cover of this at 13, it was a bit of a surprise for her longtime fans. She was pushing into new territory. She has always pushed at the limits, and challenged herself with some of the most difficult songs to sing. Well this song may have been something to challenge herself at 13... but at 16 she makes it look as easy as breathing. The progression of her voice and her artistry has been so amazing to watch. I really like Angelina because she has a natural lower register, a mezzo-soprano. So many female pop singers really cannot handle their soprano ranges and all I hear is close to abominable screeching. I'm 76 and have listened to music all my life as my mother was a dancer so there was always music in our house. I've listened to many of the greats and almost greats. This young girl is already a great and she gets better each year. When she finally is able to really get out into the public domain I will be amazed if she doesn't win awards for almost everything she does. Such a deep and amazing communicator just in words as well, I have a sneaking suspicion that her original album is going to absolutely floor most of the world. Every single tool for a vocal artist, and writer. There is something different going on lately, in how the legends and industry treat her, the way she carries herself lately seems as calm and confident as when she was a kid. It looks like everyone around her knows the album is already special. That she is already on top of the world before even seeing how people react to it. There are vibes around her that remind me of when she was 7-10 and impossibly, unexplainably good and confident for her age, again. So far, against all odds, it seems that instead of trying to capitalize on her, people have seen the obvious in her, and tried to help and be a part of it instead. The huge egos, the dollar signs, all out the window. Her family and her showed patience and confidence, and are more into her being healthy and continuing to love what she does, looking for longevity and happiness. Yeah she is stupidly good, and so is her voice. That was jam packed with flavor. The fry, the breathiness, the vibrato it all seems like the easiest thing in the world for her. Congrats is as fine a way to put it as any. I hope she becomes as successful as she wants to be. I don't know if I'd wish #1 on her, it sounds tough on people, but hey if she wants that she wants it. I'm even expecting it to happen, way too good in every way a solo artist would want to be.

I can’t explain this with vocal coach knowledge and detail but the way she sings the word “hurt” is what hurt feels like. That’s why I love her so much, that talent and ability to translate emotions so truthfully into her singing. I believe this might explain the devotion of her fans, myself included. There is, for obvious reasons, a deeply felt loss of and hunger for truth that Angelina is able to give to the world. The truth is plain to see and she gives it to us with humility and love. How can anyone not feel and be grateful for that? I can’t. Thank you once again Angelina and thanks to the universe for keeping me alive long enough to hear her.
