When my daughter was 15 years old, she came into the room one evening to show off her outfit for prom. There she stood, tall and slender, in an elegant gown and her hair swept up, teetering just a bit on her heels. I wept that night because I knew that she was no longer my little girl, but a young woman who would one day capture the affections a young man who would take her away from me. I must say that I had the same feeling again seeing Angelina on that stage, standing strong and confident in her elegant gown and gloves. The adorable little girl with missing teeth and big hair is gone, replaced by an astonishingly beautiful young woman. A young woman with a powerful voice and a commanding presence. I watched this performance with an immense sense of pride for what she has become, and for the woman she will grow into. If there is hope for this world, young people like Angelina will bring it about.

I was in the military in the 80's when Whitney Houston became a household name. Her voice was so iconic and unattainable that a singer should never attempt one of her songs. I came across a video of Angelina as a little girl singing "Fly me to the moon" one of my absolute favorite songs. I was so impressed with this little girls rendition, I immediately showed it to my wife and she too was very impressed. I have enjoyed watching this beautiful young lady with such talent grow up. I have been so impressed by her on every single song I have seen her perform. And now Angelina blows me away again with this song. The loss of Whitney was so unfortunate for those of us who loved her voice and music. But God has blessed us with Angelina, Angelina you are a treasure, stay humble sweetie.

It's so sad that they don't sign singers with beautiful, melodic voices anymore, like this incredibly talented girl. And...a beautiful dress on a beautiful girl. I miss artists like her and melodic songs like this. Even if today's superstar has a beautiful, powerful voice they have to dumb it down for the record companies. It's such a shame.
