It’s always good to see a new reactor to Angelina realize that what her fans have been saying about her is absolutely true. Angelina is not just a child prodigy. She is, for me, truly a once in a lifetime singer. This recording, at 10 years old, is just an example. There are dozens more where her voice, her musicality, and her ability to interpret lyrics sets her apart from everyone else. And she does it from very early childhood-across multiple genres. I’ve listened to music all my life. I’m in my 70’s. There has never been any singer that I wanted to listen to everyday, but Angelina changed that. She is part of my day, and no singer has ever come anywhere close to that. If you want to see what Angelina has in her vocal toolkit more recently, watch her live cover of Adele’s Easy on Me. Song writer, Baby Fuzz asked Angelina to do a demo of this song. It was not officially released because Angelina’s mother and grandmother felt that the adult subject matter of the lyrics was inappropriate for then ten year old Angelina to be singing. This is the chart topping performance that never was.

Many believe this is the most strikingly sounding, adult like presentation that she has ever done vocally. Why her mom never allowed her to formally record this past the demo stage that this presentation was, is not known to anyone? We know her mom was very strict about the lyrics Angelina would be allowed to sing and there is a mention of a self induced, drowning like suicide in the song and that may have been the reason. The fact that she was only 10 at the time, could also be the reason. Had Angelina released this, I have no doubt that it would have 'zoomed' up the charts, for it is that good.

To date, it has not been revealed why the song was not released. There are rumors that her mother didn't allow it. Baby Fuzz also said that there was never any contact between him and the family. Let's wait until Sarah publishes her book. Maybe you'll find out more about why the song with Angelina was only "leaked"

ci sono molte voci. In realtà questa è la sua canzone perché l'ha cantata lei per prima, ma solo come demo. Penso che sia abbastanza semplice, la canzone sarebbe andata alle stelle, e per i suoi 10 anni su questa canzone e per come è protetta dalla sua famiglia, sarebbe stato troppo presto con l'hype che ne è seguito e, come già accennato, sarebbe Sarebbe stato difficile pubblicare questa canzone senza un contratto discografico e solo altri ne avrebbero beneficiato. ma è solo una mia supposizione

Quello che sappiamo per certo è che Brandon Lowry (Baby Fuzz) ha scritto questa canzone con Frida Amundsen, Aksel Carlson e Ronny Janssen. Una demo è stata prodotta ma non rilasciata da Baby Fuzz. La canzone è stata acquistata a diversi artisti per possibili registrazioni. Angelina ha registrato una demo ma non l'ha anche pubblicata. È stato trapelato da qualcuno che è riuscito ad accedere al file del computer dove è stato archiviato. Baby Fuzz ha sentito la demo di Angelina solo dopo che è stata trapelata. Tutti i discorsi sui testi del suicidio non sono altro che speculazioni. Né Angelina né nessuno associato a lei lo indicava. Baby Fuzz in un'intervista ha detto che non ci sono state discussioni sulla canzone tra lui e la squadra di Angelina. Stava ricevendo molti abusi su KZbin per la convinzione sbagliata che le ha impedito di cambiare i testi. @@PaoloBassotto I call this "leaked demo" the cover that came before the original - something that doesn't happen very often. This quote that Massimo posted here describes the context very well. However, timeline and people involved are interesting. Frida Amundsen, Aksel Carlson and Ronny Janssen were with Brandon at a songwriter camp in Norway at the end of 2016 when Brandon wrote this song. Angelina's "demo tape" was recorded in January 2017 (without Brandon knowing) and was then in the files for almost two years. During this time Brandon tried to find a singer for it, but without success. End of 2018 he eventually decided to self-release it in order not to let it go unnoticed, but was aware of his limited vocal abilities. Only to find that just a few days earlier, exactly what he was looking for had leaked out - an artist who turned his song into a masterpiece. Because that's what many believe - that would have been a big hit, maybe even number 1 worldwide. Almost immediately after the "leak", Angelina released her first professionally produced original "Shield" in November 2018. Shield was cowritten by: Ronny Janssen / Frida Amundsen / Aksel Carlson / Angelina Jordan Astar. This is obviously all a huge coincidence, but it makes me think...

Adoro questa performance, per me è sicuramente una delle canzoni (non si possono chiamare cover, interpretazioni così personali, anche perché trapelata prima dell'originale)) più rappresentative del suo bagaglio musicale, ha creato una versione davvero fantastica, potente e con cambi di registro e di tono superbi, per qualsiasi età (alcune di queste scelte le ritrovi nel suo originale "Shield" dell'anno successivo). Se vuoi un giudizio finale sulla bontà di questa interpretazione è dato dal numero di visualizzazioni della versione di una bambina di 10 anni, mai pubblicata ne pubblicizzata, contro quella di un professionista conosciuto e sulla scena da diversi anni come Baby FuzZ... 💛🧡❤

No, it's not about suicide at all. It wasn't her parents who didn't allow it to be released either. This piece of music has/had a big controversy surrounding it. It was written by Baby Fuzz with some other songwriters. The music was floated around to see if anyone wanted to use the material. Angelina did a demo of it, but for some reason was shelved. Angelina was 10 at the time. Two years later Baby Fuzz decided to do the piece himself (I've heard it) under the assumption no one did a demo of it. It came as a surprise to him to find out Angelina had done a demo of it after someone released her demo at the same time Baby Fuzz released his version. He did hear her version of his song & because she did his song justice, he didn't have her version removed. Who released her demo? Nobody knows & nobody to date has said boo about it. Just that the video itself is fan made. It's Angelina's camp said that she would never perform this number again. Too much controversy surrounding it. The release of the demo didn't come from Angelina's camp. The demo wasn't hers, that's why this video carries the moniker on the front as it does.

Age 10 when this was laid down as a demo. The epocryphal story is that BABY FUZZ knew he had writtten a brilliant song but could not get anybody interested and there was already alot of interest in Angelina so he asked her to sing the demo. That her mother did not like the lyrics as it would have been the second song with suicidal ideation so she forbade Angelinas versions release. Other theorys are if Angelina had released this at 10. It would have created the same sort of furore that winning Norways Got Talent did, and that would have been the end of any semblance of a normal childhood.
