At six I was playing, learning how to tie my shoes and singing the A-B-C song. Angelina at six was having a conversation with a girl in her second or third language and then documenting the experience in her diary, with more expression and thoughtfulness than most adults. She is such a special person.

Thanks, Shakes! "I care very much about children", said Angelina, our divine child being interviewed at 9 years old. "The door to my heart opened up..........to be able to do something for another human." "I think of her everyday." The material for her book came from 'her diary'. Shakes, that's why when we hear her sing so beautifully for us, when the love in her heart touches our hearts, we realize her soulfulness will touch millions of people around the world and her influence will begin to make the world a better place to live for all. (In fact, that process has already started. One only has to feel what's in their heart, how they feel about things since they have discovered her.) And, her family? What can you say? Sometimes, at Concerts, the performer will introduce their family to the audience. When Angelina does that, and I believe she will, the audience will rise and give them an extended standing ovation. No question. How special is she? Do you believe she is on a mission? Every person can decide for themselves what is going on. But, watching her and listening to her, not wanting to miss a word, not wanting to miss an expression, when those moments become so important nothing else matters around you, isn't it remarkable what affect a 9 year older has on you? Will she become an ambassador? Yes. An ambassador representing all the peaceful and loving people in the world. Will she be able to convert those who's hearts are closed and preoccupied with matters which are unkind and selfish? Shakes, I recently ran into an acquaintance who I previously had introduced Angelina to her. She is a beautiful person but I could tell she really wasn't "all in", in regards to Angelina. She acknowledged that she was a wonderful singer, but ............. So I told her to listen to 'When You Believe' (her studio recording) on my phone. As I watched her, her usually happy face changed and she was emotionally melting right before my eyes. That did it. Did I ask her how she felt? Probably, but it wasn't necessary. As Angelina would say, the door to her heart opened and she let Angelina's love enter.

This is where the rabbit hole begins! The talent aside. Forget the music just for a minute to contemplate Angelinas heart. This is special. I’m proud of many people! she has raised many millions for charity, seems to be a priority in her selection of what events to participate in, truly exceptional, rarely see this in anyone early in their career, usually comes near the end or at least well into the career (tax write offs and efforts to reboot stalled careers?) .. not dismissing the so many who volunteer their time and efforts to charity shows but they seem to rarely be raising millions for others as a preference over their own enrichment

Grandma Mery Zamani was a child prodigy as well. She actually appeared at 4 years old on an Iranian program called 'Radio Iran'. Her love of jazz, and being aware as to how possible it was for very young babies to understand and perform musically when they are discovered to be a prodigy, gave her the impetus to find out if her granddaughter had this prodigious ability. Luckily for us, she did recognize that Angelina was one, and Mery cultivated that to bring us a performing artist (in music) at such a young age. It also didn't hurt that she gave her the genes that helped her blossom into a strikingly, stunning looking 'Persian Princess'.

On Point Shakes P with your comments on your observations of the way she articulates her phrasing , her wording, like she is an old soul, not like a 7or a 9,10,11 year old. In her Reply to the host "Where did you meet this girl? And Angelina said" in the middle East...but it could have been anywhere? " Shows Her beautiful inner Character. Angelina Jordan Shows Great Discernment, has great Respect for others, Compassion, Shows Sensitivity, great poise & Grace, Genuineness, Passion, Self- control, with confidence, yet... has this humility about her that is endearing. These Amazing Qualities are wrapped up in this bundle of Joy called Angelina Jordan. Truly the Full Package of What is Great! AND... to Top this off...SHE SINGS LIKE A PRO! The inner beauty Angelina Jordan portrays as a child, is also Evident in her song writing, her musical choices, in the way she phrases the lyrics, the Passion she has for music and the Artists, Emulating their Artistry projecting Pure raw Emotion...puts people in Awe! I agree with you Shakes P She will win a Humanitarian Peace Prize in due Time without a doubt in my mind. Thank You for insights. Appreciate your reaction.

The Real Shakes, thank you for a wonderful reaction to my request for this interview. I believe it is very important to educate people about the person Angelina Jordan Astar and not just her music. When Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, she was asked, just moments after winning, what she would like to do with the prize money (500,000 Kroner or about $80,000). Angelina replied, "I want to give it to the poor children" and indeed the vast majority of her winnings were donated. Angelina remains humble, almost to a fault and her empathy knows no bounds. She has become my all time favorite musical artist and has inspired me to become a better person.

Andy, the beauty and importance of what she has done, for lack of a better word, is contagious. The old saying pass it forward applies more than ever and the time is right as the world needs that now. Within this group of ours that knows her and knows her story, there is a lot of love that has been generated amongst thousands of people, all inspired by her and sharing that love. One on one, you have stated several times that she has inspired you to be a better person. She has done the same for me. But having known you as a friend over this past year, I can say you also have also passed it forward to me. She has demonstrated what kindness and goodness is all about and we have all benefited and shared it with each other. We should share it with everyone we know!

She is one of the most wonderful human beings that I have ever encountered. If every person’s heart and soul was as pure as Angelina’s is the human existence would be like living in a dream state. This interview allowed us to greater understand how and why she is able to touch our heats and souls through her music. A I have always said, we don’t just listen to Angelina sing, we experience the pureness of her inner beauty. I can’t say enough how happy I am to be alive to witness this divinely blessed and gifted young lady sing. She is changing the world for the better through her music. This one interview probably did more to make me fall in love with her than any musical performance. (And, OK… sure… the videos on her Fanclub Mosarz channel from when she was 3 and 4 and 5 didn't exactly hinder that process.🙃 I had just started going through the videos on that channel systematically, in as close to chronological order as possible, when I came across this interview [on a different channel, of course]. Anyway…) I noticed all those little old-soulisms that you pointed out, and I was suitably impressed by them. But then when she read that diary entry… O… M… G… I was dumbfounded. As I told someone soon afterwards, "So, not only does she sing like someone twice her age, she _writes_ like that, too??" Now, despite the fact that the notbook she read from is called her "diary" in case you or anyone else reading this is wondering whether she really wrote those exact words when she was 6 (when the encounter took place) or whether she (re)wrote them later, specifically for publication as a book, I offer the following information: The exact words she read here (and the ones further down the page, which she did not read) do, in fact, appear verbatim in the book itself. They happen to appear on the 15th page of the story text (this text only appears on what would be the even-numbered pages of the book, while the artwork spans both pages of each two-page spread - hence the passage appears on the 15th two-page spread, counting from where the story begins). Notice the "15" in the upper-left corner of the page she's reading from. This suggests to me that this was actually a _rewritten_ version of the story done, as I said before, specifically for publication. If so, then she probably wrote out that text at 8 (after having rediscovered the story in her diary while she was competing on _Norway's Got Talent_ [Norske Talenter] and eventually deciding it should be published as a book - this latter info is from a print interview she did around this same time, posted on the publisher's website under the title "Angelina Jordan Astar, «stemmen» fra Norske Talenter, viser omtanke for barn i nød gjennom egen bok"). Of course, even if this was a rewritten version of the story, that doesn't necessarily mean that this particular passage isn't substantially similar to what she wrote when she was 6. So, next consider a 10-minute podcast she did around this same time (also originally posted to the book publisher's website, but now only available elsewhere - details below), where she discussed the book with a friend of the family, Erling Kittelsen, who is a notable Norwegian writer (poet, novelist, etc. - he has a Wikipedia page). In their conversation, he recalls that Angelina showed him "a year and a half ago" something she had written (interestingly, the word "diary" is never used - he talks about "sheets" [«arkene»] that she gave him to read, but never mentions a diary) and he told her that it should be a book. He also says, "The sentences in this book that one thinks have to be written by an adult, those are written by you. And you have come up with the whole structure and the whole story." And then Angelina clarifies, "And it is a true story." Going back to the print interview, when asked whether she had received "a lot of help" writing the book, she said, "I have only received a little help - what is it called, language washing?" (Here she uses the word «språkvask», which I assume basically means "light copy editing", but I'm not sure.) The quote continues: "Publishing editor Geir (Nummedal), has also given good advice to both me and my grandmother. The whole story is as I wrote the first time. It's from reality." So… make of all that what you will.🙂 Personally, I strongly suspect that the text she wrote when she was 6, the text she showed Erling when she was 8, and the text in the final book published when she was 9 are all different to some extent. But to what extent they differ is still an open question. I have no problem accepting that any differences introduced before the publisher got the text were entirely Angelina's doing, and that any changes after that point were just the normal kinds of changes that any author might have done to their text by a professional copy editor (and probably less, given that this was a children's book written by a famous child - I'd imagine they would want to have "as light a touch" as possible). Anyway, the podcast can be found on YT on the "Angelina Jordan Fan Club - The Shield" channel, and is called "Angelina Jordan Between Two Hearts Interview 2015" or "Angelina Jordan Interview - Between Two Hearts (Mellom to hjerter) Book Talk (English subtitles)". The longer title appears in search results when you search for the shorter title, but the shorter title appears in the list of videos on the channel itself, and on the actual page for the video.

Wow! This is great and interesting information and research! I much enjoyed reading it. And there is no shame or wrong in revising (and re-revising) one's own original rough drafts into a final production. I myself have written poetry, Biblical commentary, topical essays, etc., since I was 12 (now 66). The number of times I've felt the need to revise to make something more truthful, accurate, appealing, etc., would be uncountable. Angelina did no wrong in doing the same thing. In fact, at those ages, it was incredibly intuitive of her to do so! It makes me think of Charles Dickens who, after writing the first draft of "Great Expectations" (consisting of some 58 chapters), revised many parts of the epic novel (especially the ending) no less than FIFTEEN times! So, Angelina is in great company, and even more greatness lies in her future, Lord willing! Thanks, Donald!

When Kittelsen refers to sheets, he could have meant printed sheets (if the text was sent to him electronically) or photo copies, but I agree the handwriting does not seem to be that of a 6 year old (though I recognise it as Angelinas handwriting) and in this form it is probably the draft for the book.
