I've spent my entire adult life in the music business and I have never witnessed talent on this level. I came across this video early on in my AJ experience and was flabbergasted... until the bridge section, where I thought she had lost her way. Because I have issues with watching people go through embarrassing moments (especially musicians) I clicked out of it before she finished and never watched it again. I figured they passed her through based on the cuteness factor alone. It wasn't until a few years later I came upon the shorter version (eliminates the bridge section) and noticed she was still in pitch at the end. That's when I hunted down this version to give it another chance, but this time I watched Billie's version along with it and found out it was ME that had gotten lost! That's when everything clicked and I decided to put the backing track with her vocal. I'd like to thank all the wonderful people that have shared the link to the remix. Without you, this would go undiscovered by many AJ fans. Bless you all!

Before she started, you said you were nervous. I’ve got good news for you, Harri. You never have to be nervous with Angelina. Even though you might not love every song Angelina sings, she never disappoints you. She surprises us regularly with her unique voice and musicality, but there is such authenticity to her singing that comes through every time. Billie Holiday? Seven years old-no problem, let me do it a cappella in front of judges. It’s homage to Billie, but it’s absolutely Angelina.

She once said: "... without Billie Holiday there would be no Angelina Jordan today..." (and without her Grandma, who introduced her to Jazz) This performance shows that Angelina has been a perfect artist with skills of an experienced gownup singer - with the tools of a child. That makes this so incredible, that one could wonder, if reincarnation is real. Anyway, her reception ability was and is outstanding. Lots of us, who want to be able, to listen, can learn from her about little, but essential details...

yes yes yes to everything you said BUT you missed the best, most endearing part. Well, she has a family that is so supportive of her that when she showed an interest in singing at 18 months old (after hearing Whitney Houston perform: I Will Always Love You), her grandmother put her in voice lessons at the age of 4! By the time that Angelina was 6, she was singing in studios. At age 7 she won Norway's Got Talent (Not age 8). By age 8 , Angelina was doing her own arrangement and conducting her musicians. I don't believe in child "Prodigies," Angelina Jordan immersed herself in all aspects of music and has worked very hard to get where is is today, at the ripe old age of 15.

I am a couple of months late with my comment having been traveling with not much time to watch reaction videos. I hope you get to read this. I really enjoy your reactions to Angelina’s music. I have known Angelina and family since she was tiny. I have sat in a living room and had her sing right in front of me. Seeing and hearing her online and in concerts is great but in close proximity it is very nearly a spiritual experience. When she was very young she would be jumping around playing like any kid but when she started to sing something happens I cannot adequately describe. For me the effect of her voice and Musical presence is profound. Her emotions are glacial and deep. Where this all originates I cannot even speculate. Her soul, spirit, and empathy toward others is uncanny and otherworldly. Many people have commented on these KZbin reactions but until you have been right there in front of her and she is singing to you it is impossible to feel the full impact of her talent. It goes beyond talent into something indescribable. She is something very special in this universe. Nothing much else for me to say except that she is well taken care of and looked out for by her family. Her future is bright as her full name: Angelina Jordan Astar. Thanks for your excellent reactions.

On Rusty's page you will find that there are two versions of this song. This is at age 7 on Norway's Got Talent, but the other version is at age 11 in the studio with full music backup. The newer version demonstrates her fun and artistic personality that you have never seen, a long with the intense emotion she puts into the song with a more mature voice. It is truly Billie Holiday reincarnated. You must react to this as well. She also just released a new song called when you believe by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. It is stunning.

I love it when a Billie fan finds AJ doing her songs. This lets me know this reactor is a SERIOUS student of music, like Angelina is. Her performances deserve that. Harri, you post The Best Review Commentary about the 4:11 mark, when you stop, stone silent, and then plug in again with renewed breathing. I'm 8 minutes into this review, and Harri's never mentioned "it's acapella" (that's mentioned at 9:50). Never a mention of looking at the other people waiting for their first-ever audition. Some reactors chime in later, on 2nd and 3rd re-watchings and muse, "Those poor people - they're standing there, going to follow AJ-!" God bless 'em - I hope they all enjoyed themselves. By the way, I think I value this 7-year-old's performance more than her backing-track studio version.

This is the first thing I ever heard her sing. I have a chronic issue where pain is the main problem . So I am often either still awake in the wee hours, or I have been wakened by pain as the meds wear off. So to distract me I cruise the Net to find new singers to distract me as I( wait for the new meds arrive. Angelina was the second unbelievable young singer I had stumbled on to the first, three days earlier, was Daneliya Tuleshova a 10 year old from Kazakhstan who left me dumbfounded with her performance. Then this ragamuffin comes to me at 3AM California time and launches into this A Capella version of a song most veteran singers have trouble singing it correctly with accompaniment, let alone with no music. And where was her starting note? I heard nothing to get her started. So from a cold start she launches into this. So my first response, after I picked my chin up off the floor, was this is impossible!!! Yet there she was all missing teeth, with hair that looked like it was combed by a tornado, singing with all the confidence of someone who had been singing this song this way for years.I am stil in awe of what she did but her studio performance when she was just three years older is just as startling. I am sending you the link to that below. Thanks for your reaction. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXjbYZegjbmLh80
