Love watching someone be blown away by our Angel. As you learn more about her you will also be very impressed with the very sweet and caring person she is. Since age six she always performs barefoot after meeting another little girl in the Middle East that was on the street weighing people for money. She had no shoes so Angelina gave her shoes to her. And Angelina Jordan have healed my soul through her songs. It's true she has an old soul in her. It gives me goosebumps and tears. It's sooo mesmerising. If I were to comment on my facial expressions when I hear her sing my jaw drops and eye brows go through my head which actually hurts my face her voice and her age. Angelina Is definitely your girl. Most of the songs available, are live versions and most of those are simply rehearsals or spontaneous performances. She's a perfectionist, yet she experiments a lot. She's not afraid to let people look at unfinished products or things she's just testing out. She shares of herself in so many ways. Most of her professional recordings are freely available on KZbin. She does a lot of charity work as well. I hope that people, who own their own pair of shoes and have benefited from her generosity, will visit Angelinas official pages/patreon and pay their respects (financially as well).

ok....This is the second time on your site. My response is to this performance is incredible. Notice how she has a number of LIVE muscicans in the background. Whoever her handlers are, probably her parents, know she is a once in a lifetime occurrence type of child. The musicians are lucky to be playing backup and dozens more that want to be her backup. Yes, I have tears of joy and happiness when she sings. I have listened to a number of her recordings but this one, I have not heard. I see you also have a Billy Holiday response and I am going to that one now. See you there. PS. I am in my late sixties and grew up in a classical music family, father a concert violinist, mother a pianist and my hearing is spot on. This girl when she hit her peak, will most likely be the best non-opera vocalist in history. I only hope I will be alive to hear it.

She will just grab you and pull you in every time she sings. ...and because Angelina is new to you and maybe some of your followers, I always like to share a little bio on her so that you can learn a little about her.. *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 13 (just barely 9 in this performance) - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her Grandmother and youtube videos and started studying all the greats from Jazz history. - Angelina always sings barefoot..... When Angelina was 6, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. The girl complimented her on her pretty shoes, so Angelina took them off and gave them to the girl. She made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. Fun fact: after a few unsuccessful takes, Screamin' Jay Hawkins and his band got blackout drunk and wound up recording the version that would become his signature song throughout his career. He claimed to have no recollection of recording it. So for Angelina Jordan to so perfectly capture the essence of Screamin' Jay's version is pretty impressive when you consider: a) she was 9 years old at the time, and b) she was most likely stone-cold sober (maybe her mom let her have a soda or two before the session, who knows?) The song was my introduction to Angelina. I was going down the Screamin' Jay Hawkins rabbit hole (seriously, y'all; check out his appearances on David Sanborn's Night Music) and this showed up in the Suggested Videos. I was seriously expecting it to be horrible at worst, and mediocre at best, but I came away a True Believer in Angelina's talents.

It is always fantastic to see the first reaction 'to the Spell'. The same thing happens every time. The reactors brain is working so hard that there is a danger of overload. I still remember the feeling and sensation of it when I first listened to this performance even if it is 4 years ago, and even if I knew her music before. Since then I have heard it hundreds of time and in fact I still notice new things in it. For me it is the most perfect 4 minutes in musical history ever.

This was the first video of hers that I saw and my reaction was much like yours. I knew right away that we were dealing with a special creature. Her version of this song is better than the original. She actually murders a song that basically doesn't have a melody. It's all in the power and the emotion. I've watched virtually everything I can find that she's done and she never ceases to amaze. She has been writing all of her own arrangements for some time now, which is why Simon Cowell hadn't heard that version of Bohemian Rhapsody that she got the Golden Buzzer for on AGT Champions. Oooh, i had seen this one before, and i loved this!! That young and she can do this huge song already? many singers who been singing for 20 years cannot do this, because it goes beyond just singing, this needs soul, power vocals and a certain degree of darkness, and she brought all that to the table, and then some... and at that age? she has all the potential to become huge in the alternative scene (never become a popstar girl, thats not where you belong!)
