@@humbertobonilla4913 It’s not for production quality, it’s to coordinate the musicians and the singer, this is a rehearsal not an actual performance, if you want to hear the production quality performance, listen to the recording of the actual performance, what’s important here is how Angelina is working with the music director to get the arrangement the way she wants to perform it, although they are using Quincy Jones’s arrangement he produced for Frank Sinatra. You obviously didn’t understand the comment you responded to.

I think this is where she should be. Not necessarily in a brass jazz band, but definitely jazz. Her ability to interpret blues is astounding. The only thing I don’t like about it is that I just turned 70 and likely won’t be around to watch her really be something that the whole world will enjoy. But who knows??

Very funny comments from all those "sound engineers" :) :) :) There is NO problem with her voice, there is no problem with the number of instruments, etc This is Quincy orchestra ! Have your heard about (who is) Quincy Jones once in your lifetime ? You CAN'T hear the sound balance (and you can't hear the real level of the voice and the other instruments) , unless you are plugged in the mixing console. Angelina herself, and the musicians can hear her voice because they have an earbud for sound feedback (or other systems for sound feedback). The video have been done with ambiant sound, that has nothing to do with final mixed sound

I’ve seen another video of this rehearsal, and she can be heard just fine. A lot of the preamble was cut out. They may have used the actual performance and dubbed it into this rehearsal because I’ve never seen a video of the actual performance. There’s also another clip of her singing for Quincy alone.

I think she does. After she won NGT interviewers were talking to her mom about all the opportunities and her mom said she was going to have a normal upbringing and go to school, music would have to fit in her regular child schedule. They were going to continue supporting her music but she wasn't changing her lifestyle for it. If you watch her videos she is confident in what she wants the music to sound like and even at ten she is making gentle comments to the band. Older she spoke with her pianist and even played a little to show how she wanted it to sound. I think she will insist on her innate musical talent and won't let anyone intimidate her or change her mind. She is confident in every video I've seen.

@@crickkett7510 Maybe you already know this but in case you haven't come across it ... she speaks three languages, plays three instruments, is from a multiracial family ( Japanese, Norwegian, Lebanese or Iranian and I've seen Swedish but only from one source so not sure.) and has traveled more than most people do in a lifetime. The sound from the speakers are directional, aimed at the orchestra down on the floor. The sounds from the instruments are omnidirectional. Thats why her volume is lower than the instruments at the camera position, up on the balcony or first floor.

There are several mic on the room, but only the producer/mixer guy can collect and manage a good balance; here the phone or cam mic can only record ambient sound where all sounds are not balanced but naturally mixed in a random way, each one with own genuine power/distance from who is filming. In a symphonic orchestra, without amplification, director make 100% sound balance directly on stage, building with less or more instruments and less or more strenght the whole final resultant sound. Here need a post production work for raise singer's voice.

Like all live performances there's a control desk normally placed in the middle of the audience, which controls levels of all microphones starting from preset values obtained in rehearsals like these; but ready for momentary adjustments. In middle of audience ensures that the sensation the mixer receives is the same as that of the audience. Prerecorded additions are possible, but I don't think they are necessary with an orchestra like this and with a similar soloist (perhaps of the second voices? Uhmm unlikely given the centrality of the singer that is sufficient in herself). Sorry for my English

What’s going on there? You have a Super Star singer drowned out by the instruments. 10-15 people with laptops doing nothing. I assume all those people are experienced in the music industry and no one could tell that she couldn’t be heard. Her voice is magic let it be heard. What is it called when you have the microphone turned down so low the singer can’t be heard. It happens a lot. I love her voice and all the things she does with it. She is awesome and yes protect her.

This is a rehearsal and there's no PA system like in a concert. The musicians hear the voice as they just follow the singer aside from their partiture. The "extraordinary" camera person (:~( ) just films with a non-professional camera not connected to the PA system mixing desk. The reason why the sound is frankly badly recorded. I even got a little see-sick looking at this video... :-). Too bad but it's a rehearsal... Just one correction: the sound is mixed for the stage monitors (the mixing desk is at the left side of this video recording in the back against the wall) and will give a good sound to the musicians with the voice and all instruments but the camera isn't able to record the sounds as it needs to be. Anyway, the musicians probably were chosen by Quincy Jones are "top-notch" and pros knowing exactly well what they do.

Angelina is definitely not underrated! Everyone in the music industry knew about her from the time she first stepped in the Norway’s Got Talent stage at 7 years old. And she has always worked with the top musicians, song writers, and producers throughout her 10 year career, which is another story in and of itself.

The sound issue is not the conductor's fault. There are several factors at play. The position of whoever is recording, the room acoustics and size, the speakers location. Besides this wasn't meant to be a "ready" performance. It's practice.

Working in progress. I love, love, love the naturalness of this video! Obviously this is a studio recording that will go through digital equalization for registration, it is not a final product. That is why the sound of the voice was lower than the orchestra; and, the video was recorded with a cell phone.

What blows one away is the conducters attemp to portray the complexity of the arrangment to establish the high archry of the composition ( no one wants to be periceved as an accomplisher ) , only to be degrenetrarted to supported role . This is not to be-little the orchrister leader but som times the sun shines through !!

This is too many instruments. They're drowning her out. The same thing happened at the show. She needs minimal accompaniment.

As a trumpet player, TOO MUCH Brass... !!!! Forget the pickup, she is inaudible. The conductor needs to extend his hands, DOWN. OR shut them down...... Take this post down, it is slanderous.
