Beautiful song she was so emotional singing this I think she slowed it down because it was a tribute to Avicii who sadly ended his own life it’s so sad he had everything to live for but sadly something went wrong in his life so with Angelina being a good friend of him she was devastated so that’s why she did the song RIP Avicii Love ❤️ from Denise in Yorkshire England 🏴👼👸🏻👏👏👏🥰😞💔

So very beautiful in every way. I live the look of it and also the slower version .. which gives some space to grief. Avicii would love this! Thank you, dear Angelina, thank you.

Congrats with 20,000 subs! Angelina is the best singer I've ever heard. I have really tried to like something else, but I can't. Not after listening to Angelina. I know that she is not yet a superstar, but she sings everything better than the original. Always. For me she already has become the GOAT (Greatest Of All Times) She is far ahead of other artist already right now. She is currently just 15 years old!

Yes, this was Angelina's tribute to her friend Avicii, who committed suicide, Her way of coming to terms with grief is to pay tribute to the person whose death she is grieving in song. In such a short life she has suffered the death of two grandfathers, Avicii, and a family friend, Ari Behn, also by suicide, and Aretha Franklin, one of her idols. In each of those performances she has rearranged the song chosen to reflect the importance of the occasion for her to honour them respectfully. You will have noticed that she is dressed in black, her eyes are full of sorrow, she does not give her normal cheery "Bye" and the video fades to black. All of these things show to me that this young lady has an understanding of the human condition and is mature beyond her years.

She gave a new life to this beautiful song, slowing it to emphasize the meaning and show the song's beauty through her exquisite vocal. I didn't know who Avicii was, but when I first heard this, I immediately thought what a great piece of songwriting this is. Thanks as always for bringing us Aneglina moments of reflection and beauty!

Now that you know why Angelina arranged this song this way you may want to listen to it again and understand the pure emotion that she sung this tribute with, hence the sad wave at the end.. Nice reaction HxC. The way she sings this song still gets to me each and every time...sometimes tears too. It is Angelina's mystical Power.

They were friends--she was around 8 and he was maybe 23. She captures the sadness that was always in this song and maybe points to what finally killed him. It reminds me of the way she reveals the sadness in some of Freddy's songs, like The Show Must Go On and Bohemian. Another very sad song from her is her version of Always on My Mind for her Swedish grandfather.

Slowing down the song the way she does gives a whole new meaning to the lyrics. Very apropriate to the occasion as a tribute when you know the reason for it. 😪🤗

Congratulations on another excellent reaction. Your comments, as usual, were on target. I am sure that, as a young person who is living life in a positive and forward thinking manner, all her losses, especially one to a suicide have impacted her significantly. She has a much healthier approach to loss than most of us. She does not bury it inside, but allows herself to work through the grief through artistic expression.

I’m too old to have been familiar with Avicii before I heard this song. From your reaction, it seems that you’re familiar with him, but possibly not enough to know that he took his own life a couple of years ago. In light of this, this song takes on a whole new meaning. After hearing this heart-wrenching version, I had to check out the original, and I realized how much Angelina slowed it down... WAY down, and she turned it into a lament. 😢 It’s beautiful. Track down Avicii’s Volvo commercial... it is through this that Angelina got to know Avicii. Nice reaction HxC.

2018 was a hard year for Miss Angelina, first an acquaintance of her in the royal family died by his own hand, than Avici did almost the same and than her paternal grandfather was called home. 2019 in November during the recoding of AGT, the telephone rang and mom Sara answered, listened and broke down. Her Japanese father had succumbed to a disease we all know and fear. How Angelina, who related this story on her socials, could go on, I do not know. Still, my heart is with the whole family. Sometimes best not to approach with your own set of assumptions. Missed the mark on a song intended to remember a suicide victim. Tread lightly..at times. Appreciate your love of her artistry.

HC is a reactor, not a researcher...no disrespect intended. He reacts to suggestions, not expected to know alot about the song. My humble opinion 😌
@ronraskind3 жыл бұрын
Brett, this was a wonderful discussion. Angelina was stellar in her performance, and 40,000 fans agreed, but that was really not the focus that captured my attention here. Yes, there has been a reactor recently who announced that he had issues with a few of the fans in terms of toxic remarks. It can always be one or two for any artist, but it is highly unusual in my experience to see these types of comments from angels. Your channel is different because it is based on the truth, and you accept comments good and bad. That doesn't mean rude, but constructive criticism is always helpful. No reactor deserves to be put under the bus, but if you are going to do reactions, you have to have a little bit of tolerance. I have been in sales all my life, marketing instrumentation to physicians. I have done it for almost 40 years. In sales, you have to have some armor to be able to tolerate feedback that is both good and bad. In my earlier years, I would get 95% or more thst loved working with me and my products. But occasionally, or even more than that, I would have customers that would not buy my product. If they let me know why they bought a competitive product, and that maybe we would work together in the future, that was easy to deal with and I respected that. But if a customer ignored me, and would not respond at all to follow up, it was troubling. In fact, on rare occasions I would find out that they did not like me for some reason. That hurt me terribly and really Got Me down, when I didn't know why. And typically if this happened, they would never let me know why. I realized over several years that as a salesperson you have to learn not to take things personally and not everybody will like you. It is the only way you can move on positively. I did ultimately adjust my thinking so I could cope with these situations. And a few years later I would let these situations just roll off and move on without dwelling on it. I think reactors are in a similar situation and have to realize when they put themselves in a public forum where they are stating opinions, not everybody is going to agree. And the vast majority of people that don't agree are quite civil. But there are always a small minority that are just nasty people, and their comments are not directed at you personally, but they may do that with everyone. It is just them who have issues. Anyway, enough of that, and I hope you continue to provide a welcoming forum for fans and Friends. Thanks for what you do.

👩🏻🎤🎵🌎⭐️🇳🇴❤️ Avicii (Tim Bergling) was a Swedish DJ, electronic musician, producer and songwriter, who died by suicide on April 20, 2018. Angelina's website says, "In 2016, Avicii chose Angelina for the vocals on his worldwide Volvo commercial campaign, a brilliant cover of Nina Simone’s Feeling Good." The song "Wake Me Up" is from Avicii's debut studio album "True," from 2013. Angelina slowed it down and transformed it into an emotionally powerful and poignant tribute to her lost friend. She wrote on her Facebook page, "RIP TIM (Avicii). Your music will live forever. I am honored to have worked with you. May you rest in peace." Here is a short clip with Angelina and Avicii: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Zmish4CaiNmMmpI
