Angelina's voice sounds like warm butter and honey packed with emotion. When I listen to Adele's version of this song, it sounds more crisp and harsh in tone. Adele gets an A+ for creating the song and lyrics. Angelina gets an A+ for the performance and delivery.

I don't remember hearing the Adele original of this song, as I never listen to the radio. But Angelina seems to have infused it with a soft, jazzy style that isn't quite like Adele. More of a gentle mood, tender and regretful. This is one of my favorites of AJ's covers. Her voice is full of colors and subtleties. So far and away my favorite voice to listen to she leaves all the others in the dust.

It’s so nice of Adele to write these songs for Angelina. You’re right-it’s close to the original, but it’s not. It’s a beautiful tribute/cover that has AJ’s stamp all over it. AJ expresses melancholy better than any singer I’ve ever heard, and this is a beautiful example. Other singers seem to make conscious decisions to add vocal fry in particular places. For Angelina, vocal fry is one of the many options in her vocal toolkit, and she uses it differently from other singers. She flows in and out of that fry, integrating it with the lyrics, controlling it, singing through it, giving it nuance and importance as part of her musicality. It’s really remarkable, and it’s used so effectively and beautifully here.

Thank you Zack all this time as well AJ has been compared to mature artists whilst she is a teenager using backing tracks when they are studio recordings used to compare, and for me ,not really an Adele fan too many broken relationship repeats over and over and no personal evolution but AJ just makes me like 99% of everything she does ,and is way more mature even at a young age she finds the wisdom and solution to everything it is in her writing , something I love about her and why she will be a roll model for many .💜👣😇

I was just wondering if she can sing this song now as good as this version ? I don't think so. Her voice has changed a lot since then. Don't get me wrong, i love this young lady, i've bin to every one of her concerts. It is just amazing now good she has bin at every age. I bet there are some songs that she performed when she was young she can't duplicate now. It would neat to see her try it.Hell it will probably better.

​@JohnHug-rj2m maybe not better, per se, but different. I'd bet her deep, resonate tone that continues to flourish would add a new delicious lavyer. A lot of the younger versions that initially and repeatedly causes chills, tears, etc. will forever be hard to top if for no other reason than our emotional connection to them.
