I'm 70, from a musical family over several generations, and can honestly say that AJ is one of the best singers I have ever come across. Her ability to communicate the emotion of almost any song she takes on is legendary. Keep in mind, Angelina is 9yr 2m old here; she WROTE this arrangement, hence the notes to the band leader earlier in the video (the group called her "The Boss"); English is not her native tongue (but she can also speak Norwegian, Farsi and Japanese); she entered "Norway's Got Talent" at age seven, although she had her 8th birthday just before she won the show; she is also Norway's youngest ever published author. She has been singing at live concerts, on TV shows worldwide, and recorded her first album (which made the jazz charts in some countries) at age 11! I could go on for another few thousand words, but instead I've subscribed, and am simply going to enjoy watching you guys get shocked as you hear more.

I've been addicted to her music for over 6 years now & I have no interest in rehab. I listen to her every day & she has a profound calming & relaxing effect on me & many of her fans. She has performed songs in 8 or 9 different genre of music, so her versatility in singing techniques & styles is mind boggling. Her catalog of music from age 7-18 is vast. I gave this video a thumbs up & if you do more reactions to her, I will be subscribing to watch. “Best known artists” and yet still unknown by the majority of the population. I think the problem is “the music industry” has become so fragmented. Back in the day, we all listened to the same music on the radio. Oh sure, there were “easy listening”, and “oldies”, and “country”, and “rock” stations, but that was about how fragmented it got. Today, everyone listens to their own play list. Which can keep you from discovering new artists and genres. I don’t know what it will take for Angelina to become a household name, but she’s so good I’m sure it will happen eventually. I think her association with Toby Gad will help. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying her music as it happens!

Well, welcome to the AJ Rabbit Hole! You are going to be bombarded by her fans called Angels that will fill you in on this music prodigy with an old soul from Norway. She's basically been a star since she was 7 years old. First and foremost, she is a jazz singer but has the ability to sing any genre. She also does all of her own musical arrangements. Even though she has been compared by many to Amy Winehouse, her major influence is Billie Holiday. Other influences are Dinah Washington, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley, Etta James, Whitney Houston, and Adele to name a few. Her love of jazz came from her grandmother playing jazz music around her when she was young. In 2014, she entered at age 7 and won Norway's Got Talent at the age of 8. With her new found fame, she used it to appear on many shows from abroad and help raise millions for the less fortunate children around the world. At age 13, she was invited to participate on America's Got Talent: The Champions in 2020. She shocked the audience and the judges with her rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. She received a standing ovation from all and got the Golden Buzzer from judge Heidi Klum to go straight to the Finals. Her performance went viral and even the group Queen responded on Twitter by saying, "Wow, what a rendition!" For Queen to respond to someone covering one of their songs is quite a feat since they rarely react to anyone. She did not win, but her fan base grew and expanded her popularity. Now 18 years old, living in Los Angeles, and currently signed with Republic Records, whose clients include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, The Weeknd, and Drake to name a few. Her family and Republic Records had agreed not to heavily promote her just yet so she can live as normal of a life as possible and finish her schooling. From what we know, she is finally done with school. She had a single that came out May 5th called Love Don't Let Me Go, a new EP called Old Enough that came out Friday, July 21st, 2023, a newly released video of her new song called Now I'm The Fool, and a new album of original music which will be coming out some time this year. Angelina released her new single, Our Time, and is fantastic! She returned back to Norway and performed at a number of sold out concerts in which fans from around the world came to see her. On September 22, 2023, Angelina had her first U.S. concert that sold out in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. On December 11, 2023, she was asked to come back and perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert. She first performed at this prestigious event in 2014 when she was 8. On Feb.29th, 2024, she performed 2 shows on one night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino. A film crew followed her and created a documentary of her called Angelina Jordan: 10 Years In The Making which premiered on her official KZbin channel on March 29th, 2024. Currently, she is working with 3 time Grammy winner songwriter/producer Toby Gad creating new original music for her to sing. Since then, Angelina has performed barefoot in honor of that little girl and to those who are less fortunate around the world. She keeps this promise to this day. The Hotel Cafe is not a restaurant, in spite of the name. It’s a performance venue that serves alcohol. The floor has had many dropped bottles in its day, I’m sure! This performance was recorded about March 2015 when she was 9 but wasn’t posted until September 2016 so that can through some people off regarding her age. She and her family moved to Los Angeles in 2018 when she was 12. If you want to hear her today, the most recent song would be a live performance of Bad Valentine. Btw, she helped rearrange the music for the band and improvised the original lyrics to make them appropriate for her to sing. She has been doing lots of artistic work with her music since she was 7 and people in the industry are in total awe of what she can do at such an early age. Loved your reaction. First song I heard from her was this one. That was over two years ago, I was blown away and she still continues to do that. Next song you should do is AGT “bohemian rhapsody” age 13, then maybe “I’m still holding out for you” age 10, “I’m a fool to love you” at age 11, “I’d rather go blind” age 13. 🤗 That was a cool reaction thanks. 18 now, this vid took over a year to get to youtube. It's now just over nine years ago when she was in studio, and the youtube years will add one soon. If you want to "see where she's going with her originals now". She had an EP out last year, Old Enough. 6 songs, 2 singles before that at 14/15, since she signed with her label, Republic Records UMG. Also a newly and approved sneak peak at the next one, Bad Valentine, we got 2 months ago, so you can really see what she's like super recent. People can react to it and do. However, keep in mind this a crazy skillset and even us superfans do not know where she is. This is gonna take albums and albums. This is a Mariah Carey, Xtina, Amy, Adele skillset all in one somehow. So any song won't show you "where she is now". All I know is her storytelling and artistry is somehow keeping up with her mad skills she's developing, and she feels poised to put it together and quite literally be the best in the world.

Thank you for reaction to Angelina. When she was 10 and performed Feeling Good, a jazz singer and vocal coach said that Angelina can learn nothing more because she is already a professional jazz singer that can teach others singers.

Thanks for your first reaction to my all time favorite musical artist, Angelina Jordan. At age 9, she created this arrangement and instructed the band how she wanted to sing the song. The only things which exceed Angelina's musical talents are her humility and empathy. *Why Angelina always performs barefoot* At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins". Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. Hi guys, nice that you took a little peek into Angelina's rabbit hole. she was 9 years old when she sang this song, she arranged it herself based on the original by Screaming Jay Hawkins from 1956. I was searching for trailers for the movie “Elvis” when I kept seeing the name Angelina Jordan everywhere, and found the only human being that can sing “Love Me Tender” better than he can, and she was 12 years old! Angelina was born January 10, 2006, in Oslo, Norway, and is currently an 18 year old vocal phenomenon, a striking beauty, and one of the most empathetic, caring people on the planet. This video was my first exposure to Angelina, and I am now an avid fan ( her fans are known as Angels). She is now 18 as of January 10th. There are 200+ originals and covers by Angelina on KZbin. Several covers and most all of her original music is also available on streaming services. She has two official KZbin channels called Angelina Jordan Official and Angelina Jordan Official Cover Channel. There are also several fan run channels that have a host of music and behind the sceen video's of her. Her two official channels don't have even close to all of her music on them, so looking at search results for all music by her is the best way to see all that is available. She started as primarily a jazz artist. She won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 and appeared on America's Got Talent Champions edition when she was 13 and sang her own version of Bohemian Rapsody as well as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road and Someone You Loved. The surviving members of Queen gave her a shout out on their Instagram and allowed her to copyright her version of Bohemian Rapsody. That's how good it (and she) is. She signed with Republic Records when she was 14.
