Absolutely stunning heart felt performance, Angelina must be so proud and humbled to be performing at the Nobel peace concert in her own country Norway 🇳🇴 with the Norwegian Kork orchestra,not the first time Angelina has performed at this event, the first time was in 2014 when Angelina was 8 years old with her arrangement of ( It’s A Wonderful World), also Angelina has collaborated with the Norwegian Kork orchestra before, once when she was 10 years old with her arrangement of ( Back To Black) and again with her rendition of ( Summertime) also at 10 years old, great reaction welcome back!

Thank you for your reaction. You’re right, she didn’t oversing this song- she was being respectful to the recipient of the Nobel Prize who is imprisoned for standing up for women’s rights. And her children who were present .

Knowing that Angelina is an empath of sort, I am sure she decided to put awareness to the sentence.. wait for me, hungered for your love... with some mmmmmmm... to show the young daughter and son that we hope that Their mother is released soon and that Love wins in the end ❤️

She made the arrangement and I read from a comment that she thanked the Conductor for trusting her on the arrangement. I took it that he wasn't totally on board, but has so much respect for Angelina's choices he agreed. Thank God, and I agree with you on an Epic Performance, God Bless!

Most reactors seem to resist talking about the context and significance of this song. How can anyone talk about it accurately without that? Clearly it was an emotional time for her. She took it upon herself to sing the song as if mother (Narges) was singing to the children (her twins are also 17).

heart wrenchingly beautiful............ really really appreciated your thoughtful reaction... Remember how Chicago Bulls would pass to MJ with 3 seconds left, knowing, he'd make that last bucket? That is the way we trust Angelina to sink those impossible high notes at the end of this masterful performance.

Bob, it was magnificent and Narges Mohammadi's two children (twins, a boy and a girl) were sitting right in front of her during this performance. Angelina and her family were very much honored to be at the Ceremony where The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Iranian woman whose speaking out about women's right and the oppression of women in general landed her behind bars. (We are talking 'years' here.) During her imprisonment the Iranian officials considered releasing her from prison but with one condition, that she stop speaking out about women's rights. She met with her family, the children and her husband, and they exchanged love and thought it would be wonderful if their family would become whole again. But, Narges Mohammadi reminded her family how strongly she felt about the issues and would never agree to that condition. So, she remains imprisoned. The family currently lives in France and another issue which complicates things is that Narges Mohammadi said if she was released she has no desire to leave Iran. Angelina and her family were very emotionally involved and in an interview Angelina said she was worried she would start to cry during the performance but she kept it together, didn't she? Play it again, Bob, and there's one particular point in the song about 3/4 through where Angelina's emotion cried out and, well, what I've been saying lately is, only Angelina...

Unchained Melody (AJ, at the age of 17 performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony December 2023 in Oslo, Norway.)I watched as Angelina Jordan stepped onto the stage, her presence commanding attention. The room hushed, anticipation hanging in the air like a delicate thread. She stood there, a young girl with an old soul, ready to weave magic with her voice. As the first notes of "Unchained Melody" filled the room, time seemed to slow. Angelina's voice wrapped around each word, infusing them with a depth that transcended mere lyrics. It was as though the song had been written for her, and her alone. The audience held its breath as she sang. Her voice soared, reaching heights that touched the heavens. The pain and longing in her eyes mirrored the emotions in the song-the heartache, the yearning. It was more than a performance; it was a revelation. The chorus came, and Angelina's voice swelled, filling every corner of the room. " Oh, my love, my darling I've hungered, hungered for your touch," she sang, and suddenly, we all felt the real meaning of the words. The magic in her performance was like nothing we had ever experienced in our lives. The lyrics came alive and had meaning as they flowed through us. In that moment, Angelina Jordan became a vessel for something greater-an embodiment of love itself. Her voice carried us beyond our own pain and loneliness. We felt connected-to her, to each other, to something intangible yet profound. As she held that final note, time snapped back into place. The applause erupted-a thunderous acknowledgment of what we had just witnessed. But it wasn't just applause; it was gratitude-for allowing us to glimpse love and longing through Angelina's eyes. And so, we stood there, hearts full, tears in our eyes. Angelina Jordan had given us something rare-a reminder that love exists even in our brokenness. And for those few minutes, we believed it with every fiber of our being. ©

Great reaction to the greatest version of Unchained Melody that has ever been performed in its existence since it was written in 1955 and performed by more than 1000 great vocalists. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 This video is a masterpiece that I have watched more than 100 times coming from Oslo, Norway. Every time I hear the KORK Orchestra begin playing, I feel a surge of emotion because I know what is coming next: the most amazing rendition of Unchained Melody by the incomparable Angelina Jordan. She has a voice of an angel and a talent beyond words. Unchained Melody Nobel Peace Prize 2023 Some ask why Angelina Jordan would pick Unchained Melody for this event, Narges Mohammadi, the Iranian human rights activist who received the prestigious award remains in Iran. One of the most popular and enduring love songs of all time, Unchained Melody, has a surprising origin. It was composed for a 1955 film called Unchained, which tells the story of a man who is incarcerated for a crime he did not commit. He yearns to be free and reunite with his wife and children, who are waiting for him outside. The song captures his emotions of loneliness, hope and longing, and has been covered by many artists over the years, but none in my lifetime of 76 years have conveyed such emotion as Angelina Jordan did at this performance. ©

Nice to see you back here, Bob. You're right, Angelina sang this entire song with the utmost delicacy and sensitivity, which given the occasion & circumstances, makes all the sense in the world. New listeners might, as you eluded to, think she was gambling on her voice at the end, but it's really what I like to call her use of feigned fragility. Angelina's Angels know she's been singing this song in various ways for years and years and that - given the gravity of the performance - there would be no way on Earth that Angelina would do anything other than nail it. We constantly talk about the way Angelina infuses songs with emotion; well, that feigned fragility at the end is just one more massively effective technique in her vocal tool kit. Cheers. 👼

Timeless, eloquent, exquisite and stunningly beautiful. Angelina delivered one of the most graceful, respectful, and reverent versions of this song that I have ever heard. Angelina always is able to well up my emotion to tears when she sings with her heart and soul. It's hard to imagine that Angelina was only 17 in this performance and sounds like an angel that God has released to us for a moment in time to bring us a little bit of heaven in this most important event of the year. Angelina was singing to the father and siblings of Narges Mohammadi with a live audienceKork and a TV audience of millions and she is able to deliver a monumental performance for the ages. Angelina definitely has ties to Narges in that her grandmother Mery is also Iranian and this event is held in Oslo, Norway where Angelina was born. So there is so much for her to be able to deliver in this moment in time and Angelina delivered perfectly. I want to thank you for continuing your wonderful journey with our beautiful barefoot princes and she is now 18 and ready to take on the world. No doubt. In due time she will be well known as all the other wonderful singers of today. But to all of us angels she will always be our little barefoot. princess who we love so dearly! Angelina started singing this song back when she was 9 live on Norway TV after an interview (I believe about her book) and she started to demonstrate the direction she would take this song. She has refined if a number of times since then including at her Portsmouth concert last year and this all led up to this performance. It is almost as if the fates stepped in and helped guide her to this heartfelt rendition. She has since sung it again at her Las Vegas concerts in this style I believe. She obviously could belt it out but Angelina never ever does the obvious, thank god. Very nice to have you reacting again, thanks.

Great reaction! Regarding those final notes, an opera singer mentioned that singing such high notes "softly" is surprisingly difficult. This is a new arrangement by Helge Sunde for the Norwegian orchestra, KORK. There are videos of Angelina and the orchestra director working together on the piece and the result is marvelous. I have no idea if Sunde was involved with AJ's part. It's not evident in the video, which was on live TV, but the interview with imprisoned Narges Mohammadi's twins, who accepted the prize for her, was occurring right in front of the orchestral stage, just to AJ's right. The twins are the same age as AJ and their comments were heart-breaking. AJ obviously heard it all. I believe that you can see a faint "track of a tear" in the makeup on her right cheek. So, an emotional setting for her in this important performance, televised internationally live.

Those final notes at the end are some of the most beautiful sounds I've ever heard. And yes Bob, she was so close to the edge of her voice without any breaking. She is fearless! You really nailed this reaction with great background info for the occasion & understanding of what she did here. You are also right in assuming she was in charge of the vocal arrangement. There is a video of her working on the arrangement with the conductor & the pianist & she thanked them for trusting her vision.

As for this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner, you are absolutely right. 👍 This tribute, broadcast from the NRK studio, is now the equivalent of the former Nobel Peace Prize concert, which takes place the next day after the official ceremony. There is literally not a reactor that didn't expect her to burst out at the very point at an incredible belt - everyone is surprised at how well Angelina adjusted it to the occasion. As she told us during the Portsmouth concert, her interpretation is influenced by Elvis' version, although you can clearly hear Bobby in the final crescendo. In fact, Angelina's voice fits into the orchestra like an instrument, something she already had when she worked with this orchestra as a ten-year-old ("Summertime" with KORK orchestra) and also in the "It's Magic" release concert with the military orchestra (12yo). Here you can see how she develops the rough draft together with the conductor - she has a clear idea of what she expects from the orchestra (at the age of 17). kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpDGhXqJlqeJgNE Apart form professionalism, it is nice to see how she talks to the conductor in English and the pianist in Norwegian. Vocal arrangement by Angelina Jordan Orchestral arrangement by Helge Sunde (a guy who worked often with NRK and especially with KORK). Whatever your t-shirt looks like, I am Happy to see that you haven't forgotten Angelina Jordan - your reactions are always a joy ❤

Please Don't Cry ^^^^ Angelina Jordan's fans were moved to tears by her stunning performance of Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony in Oslo, Norway with the KORK Orchestra. The young singer, who captivated the audience with her soulful voice, told her angels in an interview that she hoped they would not cry when they listened to her, as she felt the emotion of the event and might cry herself when she watched it later. But we believe that crying is not a negative thing, it's an expression of joy and emotion when we witness her. Angelina Jordan has a talent that reaches our hearts and souls, and we are thankful for her generosity in sharing it with us. ©

I agree with everything you said here. Sorry to be a bit prosaic in my response, but I'd just like to point out that Angelina has done so many things in her career that this performance is: 1. Not the first time she has sung this song on TV (and, in this case, I believe also a worldwide live stream). She sang this when she was 9 on the Norwegian talk show _Lindmo_ accompanied by a pianist. 2. Not the first time she has sung with this particular orchestra. She recorded her totally rewritten version of Amy Winehouse's "Back to Black" with (some) members of KORK when she was 10, then performed "Summertime" with a larger version of the orchestra (perhaps not quite as large as this?) a few months later in a live radio broadcast (I think). 3. Not the first time she has sung in honor of a Nobel Peace Prize laureate at an official Prize related event. She sang "What a Wonderful World" for 2014 honorees Malala Yousafzai and Kailash Satyarthi (in their presence) at that year's Save the Children Peace Prize Party [Redd Barnas Fredsprisfest], held in Oslo's City Hall Square [Rådhusplassen]. I mean, come on…🤗

Synergy is the combined efforts of individuals working together to produce a joint effect that is greater than the sum of the parts acting alone. The collaboration between Angelina Jordan and the KORK Orchestra at the Noble Peace Prize Ceremony 2024 was a remarkable display of musical excellence, and synergy. The young singer's soulful voice and expressive interpretation of the song, Unchained Melody, captivated the audience and complemented the orchestra's rich and nuanced sound. The performance was a fitting tribute to the peace laureates and a celebration of harmony and diversity©

Great to see you back and so glad that you're okay healthwise. Thank you, and I enjoyed your insightful and genuine comments. Please begin 2024 generously and spread the love and kindness that Angelina showers us with. Her message is profound and timely. I thank you for providing links to the artists' original video and official channels in your description. Most importantly, encourage viewers to use those links to watch, like, share, and comment, the same as for your own channel. Your verbal encouragement will lead viewers to the artist's links as well as your valuable information, since most do not go to your descriptions on their own. You may also include links to the artists' social media and streaming services. Oh man, the orchestra had me at the introduction before Angelina even started. Gorgeous all the way through - and then that ending? It hugged my heart enough to make my eyes leak. My oldest daughter's husband is Iranian - the sweetest guy. I'm so happy she has him, but when he went back to visit his father before he died, the country tried to keep him there to go back into their military. He's in his late 50's. I hope some association can help or raise enough money to free the woman wrongly imprisoned.

Angelina did what you said because that is who she is, not your typical rising talent out to make a name for themselves. This beautiful lady wants to bring love. And for me, she is the epitome of what she wants to give others. Once you get to know her family you get a better idea of where all this came from and nurtured within her. I love everything about this young lady. Check out her recent performance at Elvis' old haunt, the Westgate Casino and Resort in Las Vegas. Especially check out her new identity song, "The Princess of Ruins". Great review, great respect, and she deserves every bit of it.

I understand how you might feel that the way she ended that song might have been physically challenging for her, but trust me it was not. We cannot forget that since this girl was a young child she was an interpretative artist. Angelina doesn't just emote a song, but she also interprets it her own way. She is a magnificent singer, but I think most importantly, that she is a consummate artist. She does to a song what she feels she should do with a song at any time she does a song.

That was a really nice reaction! The context of this performance is so important to understand, in so many ways. This was the Nobel Peace Prize concert in Norway in December 2023. The recipient, as you say, was a human rights activist, from Iran, Angelina's grandmother is Iranian. Of course, Norway is her home country and she performed Summertime with this orchestra in 2016. It's the Norwegian Radio Orchestra known as Kork. Angelina was indeed heavily involved in the musical interpretation of this performance, there is a video clip of her working through the arrangement. Finally, this is not the first time Angelina has performed at a Nobel Peace Prize concert, the first time was back in 2014 when she sang What a Wonderful World in tribute to Malala Yousafzai (Pakistani education activist) who had been shot by the Taliban because of her views on education for girls. There are no words to describe how special Angelina is....

Great reaction once again, and thanks. See the collaboration video I attached at the end and you will see how she set up the ending! She did this in a subdued manner because of the setting and occasion for this performance! Angelina and KORK(Norwegian Radio Orchestra) just did a magnificent rendition of Unchained Melody! The perfect song for Narges Mohammadi Nobel Peace Prize! And let’s not forget Angelina’s Iranian heritage and Oslo is her hometown! Third time with KORK, she did Back to Black and Summertime when she was 10! Has been invited twice to Nobel Peace Prize, previously appeared when she was eight! Narges is in jail for leading the fight for women’s rights in Iran! At the end Angelina puts her hand over her heart acknowledging Narges children who were on stage and happen to be Angelina’s age and are living in exile in France! I would recommend watching the behind the scenes video of her collaborating with the director of KORK on the arrangement for this performance, a master at work! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hpDGhXqJlqeJgNEsi=0uE48FOz9QB15QyI She also just did back to back concerts in Las Vegas and debuted an unreleased original song Princess of Ruins, I would recommend reacting to it!

I really hoped that YOU would react to this video 🙂 I'm always happy to hear your comments about Angelina (which was a while ago 😉) and this time it was perfect for me too! Thank you Bob!! And I didn't know that it was about a prisoner, even though I like this song so much 🙈 For me, this performance is one of Angelina's top 3 and I really watch this performance every day (even several times) and she hits me somewhere deep inside. There's a point deep inside me, deeper than usual...and as we all know, she doesn't just do it with this performance. I really always get goosebumps when watching this performance - on good days I just enjoy the music and have a warm feeling and a smile while listening, on bad days a tear runs down my face...in any case it creates a lot of emotions with me and it's nice to be able to experience something like that. One of the other top 3 is the short Tik Tok version of "House of the rising Sun", next to Bohemian Rhapsody... Angelina at 5 a.m., jamming alone at home with a guitar in front of her cell phone camera... maybe you'd like to take a look at it or even make a video. Greetings from Leipzig Germany

IMO, with orchestra accompany in this concert, AJ designed performing this “Unchanged Melody” artistically rather than in pop-music style. In this react video, 2:36 “time goes by so slowly” she perform a little bit slower that made you feel the freeze of time. 6:30 the “hm...” callback with her low register is an echo voice from their mother, this means the song finally reach their mother and she send them a reply. The final part raise this performance to a higher level, the heavenly voice bless them can meet together in the further.

Hi Bob 👋 my fellow Angelina Angel 😇Angelina has previous tenant performance wins along with Grandma Merry! Because she is also a little affected herself! So great to see you reacting with us to Angelina again. I hope your medical issue is behind you. I’ve been there a few times and done that. This Nobel Peace Prize performance is the best I’ve ever heard, and this song was sung the best I’ve ever heard. Yes, AJ did the arrangement and this is the third time she has sung with the Kork orchestra. Now you need to check out her Las Vegas one night only performance on the same Elvis P stage!

Hi, Bob! Welcome back and thank yo for another excellent reaction to Angelina. I am delighted you did your research before reacting. So few rectors bother to do so. For me, it was as if Angelina had taken on the persona of Narges Mohammadi, and was telling her twin children that she loves them and pleading with them not to forget her. Although you cut the video short, you may have seen Angelina place her hand over her heart and turn her head to her right to look directly st the twins.

Good on you for doing some research before your reaction to get an idea WHAT you would be reacting to. What I didn't hear you mention at first is the fact that Angelina's Grandma (not Mom) MERY is Iranian, so this performance had importance to Angelina and her family that goes far beyond the honor to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Tribute ceremony / concert.

You are right. There is a BTS video showing Angelina in a practice room telling the conductor which rendition of the song will be used for the instrumentals. I hear her mention the Righteous Brothers.

She was not introduced properly. The lady should have said that Angelina was Norwegian and that her grandmother is Iranian. This is a very beautiful rendition of the song. Few remember that it was telling the story of a falsely imprisoned person.

Great reaction I agree with you regarding the Amy Winehouse comment. Many reactors upon hearing Angelina for the first time immediately make the Amy Winehouse comparison. It’s understandable and yes at times she does resemble her in style and she is a big Amy Winehouse fan, but as you are realizing there is so much more to her. She definitely doesn’t sound like Amy in this song. Many fans feel that she is much more vesitle than Amy. There was also a vocal coach reactor that did a great breakdown of how she feels Angelina and Amy are different.

Very nice reaction. Yes, this is absolutely her arrangement.. there are videos showing them working on this with the orchestra in rehearsal. It's Angelina Jordan's grandmother Mery who is Iranian by the way - her mother Sara's mother.

geoffrey Look at the graphic at 2:08 on this video. The arrangement was by Helge Sunde. He's a Norwegian professor, composer, trombonist.

@@103mrgSo you think Helge Sunde put together this arrangement without any input or discussion with Angelina? That seems unlikely to me.

@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg I agree with you. My thinking is that he did the orchestral arrangement and Angelina did the vocal arrangement.
@SteveAckerman-ly3qg

@@103mrg But I would think the orchestral arrangement is related to the vocal - I always imagined AJ being quite involved in that way on many of her performances - "quieter here, here and over there".

@kristena9285 8 ай бұрын
@@SteveAckerman-ly3qg Angelina did her choices together with conductor and MD only a day or two before the concert. The orchestral arrangement takes weeks and then the orchestra needs to rehearse it so when the soloist arrives (from LA) they can start working together right away. Angelina interprets and have the final say about how she will sing it (and what should be quieter/louder etc) but the arrangement itself is done and dusted well beforehand. 🙂

When we have vocal performances like this and other vocaly impressive performances , I believe angelina will realise her ambition to become a superstar and perhaps even win a grammy one day , but there are other performances were it's clear to me she has changed her vocal style / delivery / inflections which are not as appealing to me and are imo less likely for Angelina to become a major success .she is only aged 18 and perhaps still experimenting with her vocals , as another fan said to me " I'm in for the long game I'm expecting her vocals in time will even out "
