To follow up on what you said-Angelina has so many tools in her vocal toolkit. She doesn’t flaunt them. She uses them appropriately and effectively. She gives the song what it needs, but no more. Aside from that amazing voice, she’s had since childhood an innate musicality that guides her. She’s able to give us performances that we will definitely remember as hers, but she always respects the original song and music.

She knew the story of the imprisoned woman, I believe she chose to sing this particular song and put all her heart and soul in it. This event took place in Oslo, Norway, and the orchestra was the same one she performed with when she was 8 years old singing 'Summertime'. What's amazing is when we listen to her sing we are so captivated we react to every note she sings. The love in her soulful voice is astonishing and our hearts take over our body while she sings. 2024 will be a "here I am" moment in time for Angelina as she gets promoted and introduced to the world. Is she ready? I believe she is. But these are my opinions and whatever road Angelina takes I'm with her all the way.

To be invited, before adulthood, for the SECOND time to sing esp. for an imprisoned mother in Iran, whose daughters are the same age as Angelina and were in the audience. Imagine YOU are invited to the ceremonies of the highest praise, humankind has to give toan indiviual or a group of them, regardless of color, religian and nationality. OK, SORRY, sometimes i am like a teacher. I imagine, when YOU are asked to do this, YOU also would sing your heart out for those people and your nation (they host the NOBEL Prizes in Norway). The reason why this was the best rendition of a song that she has done beautifully in the past, is the fact that she brings forth the most emotion laden, penetrating version of the song I have ever experienced, and that includes the 'Gold Standard' performance of Bobby Hadfield, for not even he could reach the inner depths of my being as deeply as this. I'm sure that if he heard it in the 'far beyond', it would have brought a tear to his eye as it did to me. It's a fitting tribute to a very courageous woman who is languishing in an Iranian jail for simply being a conveyor of truth. Narges Muhammandi is the most deserving person of this year's Nobel Peace Prize, for sure.

Angelina reinvents old songs as she pleases. Her versatility allows her to sing in many tones, styles, rythms, etc. For this occasion, she chose to do this version which almost sounds like a prayer, so respectful and heartfelt (as you said) because it was dedicated to the Nobel Peace laureate, Narge Mohammadi, an Iranian woman who is currently in prison in Iran for her activism on human rights 😭 Also out of respect for her twin daughter and son and her husband who were present at Angelina's performance ♥ The song choice is also perfect as the lyrics talk about loneliness, longing, love and the desire to come back home and be reunited with Narges loved ones.

Unchained Melody is from the 1950's movie "Unchained" about a man in prison longing for his loved ones. Nobel Laureate Narges Mohammadi is a women's rights advocate who has been jailed in Iran for many years & is currently undergoing a hunger strike. Her twin children (boy & girl) live in exile in France & haven't seen their mother in years. They are the same age as Angelina (17 yo) & accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on their mother's behalf. Angelina is singing this song to Narges' children with utmost respect & emotion & it's the most beautiful version of this Classic song that I've ever heard. Thank you for an excellent reaction video for this solemn event & now Angelina is the only performer in the long history of this event to perform more than once (at 8 & 17). Btw, experts say that female vocal chords aren't fully developed until mid- to late 20's, so we still have several years of improvement to experience. That's scary!!!

Angelina will never sing a song exactly the same twice. I think it has to do with her emotional feeling at the moment she performs: did you see that Angelina is conducting the conductor at some points in the song? You can clearly see it at the end of the last note. This girl is commending the stage here, and no one else. And isn't it awesome that experienced adult musicians do have that much respect for Angelina? But they know her since she was just started singing on stage (there are a few KZbin videos from earlier performances Angelina and KORK did together), so they know that Angelina is "music in a human body".

The children of Narges Mohammadi are twins, 17 years old Kiana Rahmani (a girl) and Ali Rahmani (a boy). The twins represented their mother in the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony the day before this and received the Peace Prize on her behalf. They also gave the Nobel Peace Prize speech (written by their mother and smuggled out of the jail) on behalf of their mother, Kiani gave the first half of the speech and Ali gave the second part.They were sittings together with the host of this show in a interview about their mother and and her activism. Their father and uncle (who lives in Norway) were also invited to the interview. The interviews were intermingled with contributions from singers of Iranian descent, like Angelina.

I love your reactions and insightful commentary. Very sincere and emotional. I agree that this is probably my favorite performance of hers, but because she has hundreds of performances, it is tough to pick a favorite. Perhaps you can pick a favorite at each age ranging from 6 years old to 17 years old. This particular song she has sung at least twice in the past, most notably at 9 years old on Norwegian TV, and at 11 years old, likely in her living room. There may have been others but those are the two that come to mind. It is always interesting to see the progression. No question It is now more mature and refined, but even at those young ages it was unheard of to be as talented as she was. As you may encourage your viewers to like and subscribe to your channel, please do the same for your featured young artists like Angelina. Reactors would not have thriving channels without the artists, and they certainly deserve your support. The link to the original video is appreciated, but also include the official KZbin channels as well as any social media such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok if possible. This is my first time watching your channel. I like your appreciation, respect, and comments for Angelina! New subscriber! This is her third or fourth video, at various stages of her life, singing "Unchained Melody." If you haven't seen the others, you should check them out. I think the earliest was at age nine on Norwegian TV, after being interviewed by the host concerning the book she had just published called "Between Two Hearts," telling the true story of why she never wears shoes performing. She is Norway's youngest ever published author!

Take my advice...never try to pin point Angelina's voice. Its always changing according to the type of song she sings. You have to watch Angelina's early songs from when she was 7/8 to understand. With some songs she is younger but sounds older than previous songs when she was older. If it make sense. Just remember she is also known as the girl with 1000 voices. This is not her true eye colour. She has beautiful soulful brown eyes. Watch her when she was about 13 and younger. Pease react to her covers of "How Great Thou Art", "Its a man's world" when she was 12 and "Lovi'n you" when she was 11.
