No matter how many times I hear this one, it still blows me away that a 12 year old can produce such emotionally powerful vocals. This has the sound of someone that has lived a full life. One of the things I love about this one is how she is able to create a bit of dissonance just by changing the tempo very slightly throughout the song. Some might think this is unintentional... I am confident that she knows exactly what she is doing there :) She is a genius. BTW: here is the original video that the audio was taken from.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGGsfqRqZ5WshtE The original video had a slideshow of pictures of Angelina, and while it is great to see all her photos, it really did distract a little from the masterpiece of a rendition she did here. This fan-made video matches the beauty of the song & lets you listen with full concentration. Very thanks Wolf Rock, for the usual wonderful reaction with the little fairy. This is certainly one of the interpretations of Angelina's songs that most grabs your soul and makes you look inside, its slow, smoky, sweet, intimate tones drag you and make you lose the sense of time. Her voice is so emotional it leaves you like a log on the beach after a storm, but it's also so sweet! For me the best version I've heard of this song, she completely captures the pain of the lyrics, more much that original version. ❤️ Just you who have been following her for so long had to imagine that Angelina's magic never stops, it changes the songs and makes them even more emotional ... 🤗😂

This beautiful video was made by Sune Amtoft, and it totally enhances the emotional depth of Angelina's performance. I love Chris' original, and there have been many very good covers (Diana). But no one has captured the emotional distress and obsessive nature of the lyrics like Angelina (IMO). Her use of negative space heightens the anticipation. Angelina is a master of restraint. Three chords and a tear drop. She does it to me every time. For me, this is the best this song has ever been performed, and one of her best covers. Great reaction Wolf. 😊💕

What a "wicked thing to do" for life to withhold this amazing singing talent from a music lover such as myself until I'm into my 60's and she's only 14! I can only hope to hear as much of her brilliance as I have the time left for! BUT...I will enjoy EVER note (written, composed, and performed) that I do get to hear! Angelina is the only person who has recognised that this is a song of obsession, or obsessive love, if you will. All other singers I have listened to - at least a dozen now - treat it as a love song. It is still my favourite performance. It is very difficult to promote any of Angelina's performances to top spot as most of them are worthy of that position but, for me, this is so heart and gut wrenchingly beautiful that Iit had to be "the one". The fact that she was "having fun" makes it eve more remarkable.

Yes my friend. "Having fun" for Angelina is years of hard work and practicing for the "normal" artists. Not that i had any doubts before, but when i first heard this one, i was really shocked and there and then for me she was a genius at work only comparable to the greatest of the music world. Angelina is a teacher, a guide and ultimately a master that shows us how the songs should be really played and what is really about. Truth to be told, most of the time even the guy who wrote it, might learn something.

I enjoy this version quite a bit because she's stripped off the many effects that keyboard offers. For example, she's avoiding the Sustain feature so her fingertips control all the keyboard sounds. Just as her voice is 100% hers to control.

Ollie, amazing! Her voice is beyond belief. And her understanding of her music is also incredible! Ollie, let me ask you for your opinion about something. Angelina sings these great classics, makes them her own, touches our hearts, makes us cry. But, here's the lead in to my question. The songs she sings are older and apparently the average of her followers is somewhere over 30 years old. I understand that and it makes sense. Now that she has Republic to back her up doesn't it seem inevitable that she will have to do some originals to attract the younger audience? In my personal experience, when I introduce her to some young folks, sure, they're impressed and think she's great. But, I don't know if they say, "Wow! I want to hear more of Angelina!"

Robert, I believe that Republic will get her to a point where the younger folks as you said will be effected by many of her originals. Unfortunately many of the song choice go back to her taste in music. Not taking away from her choice, which for me are amazing. The main stream seem to focus on POP or K=POP. I think that the culture needs to change, as you know that is not easy to do. I'm hopeful that many of the younger folks see how young she is and grab on to her music. For now we support her and keep showing the world our Angel. Well that was my two cents.

Yes, you're right when you say that Republic will have an idea how to face the challenge. That's what they do. I'd love her to do a movie theme song (James Bond?). She'd be great! I have heard the song been covered many times and every time I think .. nice cover, good voice but these have not understood what the song is about. Yes I have seen the original but after she is playing there it just shows pictures of Angelina but they don't match the lyrics some are baby pics or very happy pics and it did not match with the lyric, this fan-made it the best I have seen. I have seen another fan-made which was just the ocean. This one combines the best of all three pictures that have the right expression and her playing and singing at the keyboard and the ocean,. A wonderful reaction! I will look at your playlist for Angelina and I see you have a link for request so I will put there my request. I could not find a playlist but I did a search and I notice you have not reacted to "Oslo" which is another original of hers about her hometown.
