As a huge Beatles fan, I generally detest covers of their originals. They are almost always just derivative or, when trying to be original, they just ruin the song as you can't improve on perfection. This, though, is both faithful and yet not derivative, sumptuous, moving, and soulful. All due to Ms. Jordan's remarkable and wholly unique voice that seemingly reaches into the depths of our collective consciousness and connects us with the true artistry of music and humanity. Listening to her is akin to watching Michelangelo paint the Sistine Chapel or Beethoven perform his 5th for the first time in Vienna in 1808. Truly sublime.
