I have been waiting for you to discover Angelina! Your channel is called the charismatic voice, and I personally have never heard a more charismatic voice than Angelina Jordan. She is able to put so many little details into her vocals, but never in a flashy, show off way. It always feels like it is exactly as it should be. She has been singing at pro level since she was 7, and with every new thing you hear, you are going to be impressed more and more by this incredibly rare and special talent. I also like to leave this little bio for new people just discovering Angelina so that you and your followers can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul..... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 120 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects and arranges the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

I'm a seventy year old musician. I've backed many singers. I've had a number of " Holy crow! " moments while accompanying both male and female vocalists. For me, Jordan is unique. One thing that is so so great about Angelina is, no matter how big, small, random or important and so on the stage, the performance is, she will allways be herself. She will never try to impress an audience or judges, she won't go theire direction to for the high notes, the belting and so on. She will come on stage, and it's like she radiates ok this is me, and I am going to do this my way. I love this young ladies music, her talent really is off the charts and she cannot be pigeon holed into any style or genre except ANGELINA. You can see br the looks on the faces of the judges that they knew right there and then that they were seeing a superstar. I love your reactions! I'm also a Vocal Coach/Soubrette Soprano... just her breath line and the movement through the Passaggio was delicious... Just enough air on the line to create the color and warmth.. Angelina's interpretation is NOT that of a 13 year old.. she's got to have an Old Soul in there.. Just her gentle pauses in between words completely told the story.. This girl is a Story Teller.. I'll certainly buy her first Album...

Funny you said you'd listen to this over and over and over. That's exactly what I've done... I have binged on Angelina performances for going on a week! EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I get emotional & goosebumps. I have watched all her latest straight up performances, and DOZENS of voice coaches and professionals reactions to her singing, and they all have the same PHYSICAL reaction to her incredible talent. (Chills, goosebumps, shock and awe) They are dumbfounded, every last professional (except one or two with low empathy and are full of themselves), and can't find words because Angelina doesn't touch people in their head; she touches people in their heart. She is connecting on a spirit level (imho), and not an intellectual level. I think humans are hard-wired to be drawn to perfection (ever hear of the "God-shaped hole?") and again, imho, I think Angelina is approaching perfection in both talent and character. Love her, Love Her, LOVE HER!

Elizabeth, I've watched your video many times. It's so apparent that Angelina touched your heart right from the start but, somehow, you were able to "keep it together". Of course, until she slid up to that very high note. That's when your heart took over and accepted Angelina's voice hook, line and sinker! Our hearts react emotionally and our minds need time to figure out what's going on. Our heart can't wait for our mind to react but it does signal to our body that what is going on is wonderful. Goose bumps, tearing up, even a full crying episode, unable to speak, assuming a frozen posturing stance, all are indications that are telling you, "Wow, I love this very much!" That's what Angelina does to people. It's remarkable. The tone of her voice, the soulfulness that comes with it, the sincerity and love from Angelina's heart make it impossible to resist. Elizabeth, many people comment what will she be like in 5, 10, 20 years from now. I understand and pray that she continues to spread her love, through song, to all of humanity for many years to come. But, Elizabeth, she is there already! In fact, she's been there since she was 7 years old! Of course she's refining everything she does along the way and we should be seeing originals on a steady basis from now on. Her age is not a factor when she sings in regards to her emotional delivery but it is in her developmental stage as a teenager and we pray, with the guidance of her family in the forefront, she manages to maintain the love in her heart which radiates to everyone she touches. I sincerely hope you understand that everything I'm saying is coming straight from my heart and sharing these thoughts with you is very important to me because of your dedication to the role you have assumed as a reactor. And, equally because you are very kind and it is so easy to warm up to you when you're doing your thing. Elizabeth, I'd like to make a request if it's okay. Please listen to Angelina sing Summertime (Ella Fitzgerald) in the final round of Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 years old. After that performance she eventually was chosen as the winner of the show. In fact, if memory serves me right, she garnered about 50% of the total vote among the finalists. Maybe you'll have second thoughts about watching an 8 year older (she turned 8 during the tournament) but, Elizabeth, this is not a "normal" 8 year older. In fact, it you choose to react to it, your analysis of her performance will be as if you are describing what a 40 or 50 years old singer just did. I don't know of anybody who can sing a song like this girl and she's been that way since she was a toddler. Her voice touches me in a way that almost scares me, it's so beautiful and I often get that physical reaction that you talked about. Add to that the absolutely amazing vocal skills she has and her musical understanding and we have a once-in-a-lifetime artist. In addition, most of the songs she's sung are older than I am and that's saying something. I remember the crazy-ass theatrical original version of "I Put a Spell on You" and when I heard a little girl was gonna try this I expected almost a parody. What I got instead was an incredible homage that pulled the music out from the circus act that the original was and treated it to the most astounding vocal artistry I think I've ever witnessed in one performance and every note of it was the perfect choice (especially the whistle!!!). She was the highlight of that series by far (apologies to Marcelito fans) and the performance with the other two artists was absolutely beautiful. I think she's a goddess. At 6 feet, she looks like one.
