I've had a pt with Angelman syndrome. Pt was physically strong. That pt had a hold of my hair once in ICU. The patient's parents told me when the pt was being aggressive to say, "I'm going to tell your mom" It worked.

I have a question. I cant find anything that matches with issues i have. Nothing quite matches up to me. I used to have seizures when i would wake up some days. Never knew the cause. I have sleep issues, and i feel the need to jerk my body quickly. Think of it as some of the jerking movements people with tourettes have. Expect i control the movements, and feel the intense need to do them. I also flap my hands, walk like a t rex, because idk its more comfortable. I also feel intense need to make weird noises. Sometimes when my neck jerks in the wrong way, a part of my head heats up in the back and kinda hurts. When i tense up my jaw, i can make my ears ring in a high pitch sound. I also hate when there is too many things happen at once. Like people talking, then i get bumped into, then my friend trys talking to me, then i have to weave through people. Things like this. I also cry easily from things like math. Im really good at math but when i dont know how to do something i get really mad because i know its the teachers fault and i cant do anything about it. (She didnt teach it well enough and then yelled at me because she "just taught it"). I hate group projects and finish them faster on my own and often i dont participate much in groups because idk what to do but i can do whatever on my own. I complain about the school system and people dont see why. I do better with individual help. And tutor is not an option because i still have to deal with normal school. Plus the tutor will be helping me with stuff from school type things, but in my opinion the school curriculum is horrible and the way things are taught. Writing is supposed to be about creativity. Not shortening someones story with a summary. Also people just dont like me. I do nothing to them and they judge me. Mostly girls. I am a girl by the way but i appear more masculine. The guys dont judge me much though and im friends with most of them. They include me more and dont make me feel left out unlike the groul of girls i was friends with. But i only have 2 best friends and they are extremely similar to me. I know i write really long paragraphs, but if you read this please respond. Ive told my parents about these things and nothing is done about it probably because they dont know much about neurological stuff. I want to know more and like learning more about myself.

have you ever been tested for Tourette’s? my friend has Tourette’s and you are describing similar things to the way she feels and acts. keep in mind that all of your symptoms may not be related to one underlying disorder, but rather a few different things going on at once.

@@taylorbabe1361 i figured out i dont have tourettes. I never got tested, but i found what i relate to. I have undiagnosed autism and a lot of autistics have this same thing. Its more of the need to do a tic. Like you can control it but you feel unsatisfied and uncomfortable without doing it. A lot of high masking autistics dont do it because they are masking. I am masking but not as much as some others. So i still do this in front of people. I dont always feel the need to do it though. Only when i feel a certain way ig.

Me and my brothers are all autistic, and a lot of what you described sounds very similar to things we experience due to our autism (trouble/stress in school, trex hands, hand flapping, etc). My youngest brother and I also experience what you described, the "urges" to make jerk-y movements and strange sounds. I don't have a degree, or know much about psychology, but this sounds a lot like autism to me, maybe consider getting assessed!
