I think that when you're growing up you hate AVA because your young mind doesn't undestand and it's cool to hate and make fun of weird space stuff. But as you get older and more mature you'll learn to appreciate this band and their music. I can see why Tom prefers being in AVA instead of blink cause this is the band that doesn't limit him artistically the same way blink kinda does. Blink will always be my favorite band but AVA is fucking awesome. It took me a long time to realise that Tom was a HUGE part of why I love blink. No disrespect to Mark in any way I love him as well but I saw it when Tom left that I don't vibe with their new stuff. Blink as I've known it died with Tom's departure.
