Tom really don't need the keyboards. His singing and guitar is more. Less is more.
@jeffstacho3 жыл бұрын
There IS (plenty of) 'Singing and Guitar.' So much in fact, thats been the basis of his songs for 25 YEARS. -and you know what? Heres the best part, are you ready?? -There ISNT a DAMN THING WRONG WITH ADDING AN EXTRA INSTURMENT in your song(s). Listen, 'Tom' is indeed a rock legend, or, a 'Rock God,' thanks to his contributions to the genre over the years. No I use the term God lightly because at the end of the day the fact is and still remains that Tom is very much a human being just like you and I. And human beings as you may well know, we get bored easily and we don't like doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over. Do you kind of see where this is going? If you want or are only expecting guitars and singing, go listen to Blink-182. This band is something entirely different believe it or not. And they have always had a progressive sound since their first album. Anyway, I'm NOT QUITE SURE what exactly he was doing here in terms of the singing part -Like, was That rap?? LOL! :P Well, Whatever you want to label it is all fine and dandy, yet beside the point...AND THATS BECAUSE I just so happen to think that 'Tom Did a Hell of A Job.' But, then againz Im Not going to lie here: It DID Catch me off-guard at first..! And so, I was in deep analytical mode for almost 20 seconds before I could accept what was going on, LOL. But looking back, I would say I thoroughly enjoyed it, and it was unique. He pulled it off, whatever 'that' was ;) :)

I think that when you're growing up you hate AVA because your young mind doesn't undestand and it's cool to hate and make fun of weird space stuff. But as you get older and more mature you'll learn to appreciate this band and their music. I can see why Tom prefers being in AVA instead of blink cause this is the band that doesn't limit him artistically the same way blink kinda does. Blink will always be my favorite band but AVA is fucking awesome. It took me a long time to realise that Tom was a HUGE part of why I love blink. No disrespect to Mark in any way I love him as well but I saw it when Tom left that I don't vibe with their new stuff. Blink as I've known it died with Tom's departure. I hope Tom will make music for decades to come, cause I need it.

I love the fact that they wrote it as "yead" in the lyrics. "The voice in my yead, is now a fatal house fire".

I really wish Tom was able to sing like this live. DONT GET ME WRONG I always appreciate his art, I always have. I just wish he put as much love and effort into the live performances as he does the studio. He certainly used to!

Tom has huge amount of effort into live performances. Haven’t you been to the most recent shows. I went right before the pandemic and it was the best performance I’ve seen Tom has ever done.

@welldonebrainn3 жыл бұрын
@@Newemail-ol2no he truly was much, much better on the last AvA tour. He’s still not a great live singer by any means but you could tell at those shows he was trying and cared. He sounded his best in years.

"What is this bullshit, I said we're not alone and the government knows it". This is such a fucking flex in light of recent events. Tom I am so proud of what you've achieved. From skater kid to making the government themselves squirm, you are an inspiration to everybody.
