I'm a singer with a somewhat similar voice to tom, and from what I can see he's constantly changing throat shapes and shifting between his throat, mix and stomach (what's why some times his voice is clean when he hits higher notes, sometimes it's raspy and at small glimpses it ALMOST sounds like old tom) Personally I think he started breathing properly and getting the right throat shape around 1.10 I don't think his voice is that bad, he's just lazy I think, or drunk.

Exactly, he didn't ask for his voice to be like that. He hurt is back/ shoulder playing guitar so the doctor told him to take pain meds and he got addicted. He said the drugs changed his voice. He will always be a God, no matter what lonely, low-lifes say.

I think it's because of a whole bunch of reasons why Tom sings like he does nowadays. Sure the painkillers didn't help and singing like he did without proper vocaltraining or atleast anything he didn't take as a joke didn't do much good either. But I think Tom is just trying to sound different as he is into bands like The Cure and U2 so I think he's trying to sound like them.. A bit to hard if you ask me, it would be nicer if he'd just toned down a notch or 2 from his old style of singing if his voice is really messed up these days.

there's no denying his voice is bad here - BUT it is definitely because his throat was damaged by the drugs. I've seen him live twice. First in 2010 - where he sounded just like this, and Second in 2012, just a few months ago. Good news! - in 2012 he was MUCH better. his throat is healing :D

I don’t think his throat was ever messed up from drugs, I believe when Ilan joined the band, he taught Tom how range his vocals, I’ve seen them twice since “2019,2021” and he’s much much better, but singing with Blink for so many years, he really didn’t have to worry about singing and he probably was so use to that

As much as Tom does suck at singing, the factors of him being drunk a lot can be true (I’ve seen it first hand at shows) second I’d say after playing with Blink for so many years, he really didn’t have to worry about singing because they were a punk band known for their theme “crappy pop punk” but I’d say with AVA he tried to clean it up and sound good but after Ilan joined the band, I think he really cleaned up his singing (2019,2021) I saw AVA live and he definitely sounded alot better
