gotta love when music gives you the chills. how a person can create a melody that resonates with consciousness.

i wish i was this talented to be able to do some shi like this on piano 😭 this is insane
@Metede272 ай бұрын
You can do this too! You just need the patience to create something, delete it because you didnt like it, create something new again, delete it again, and repeat this process untill you found something you are satisfied with 🫠 For real, I heavily need to improve on HOW I come up with these ideas because I was wasting too much time with creating and deleting the stuff I did before😭

excellent! what's your process like to create melodies like this?
@Metede272 ай бұрын
Hey, for this song I made the chords for the first bar first, then I messed around untill I got a nice melody, in the meantime I adjust the chords to get some better rythm. I play it on the piano before clicking it in the DAW, but you can also mess around on the DAWs piano roll

YES. DJ okawari is great. I know him because of Nujabes and Nomak. They all make pretty similar music and I used to listen a lot to their songs

Nice MIDI representation. What are you using to shape the sound?
@Metede272 ай бұрын
I usually put a soundgoodizer to the piano channel and set it to the maximum, then I increase the velocity by adding a limiter to the Master channel. This time I actually used a compressor too, but I couldnt hear much difference. I have to study some tutorials I guess... But keep in mind that youtube also does some sound shaping by increasing or decreasing the LUFs of a vide, and I am very thankfull for this 😄

holy damn. this is beautiful. dont stop making those kind of compositions please. btw just out of curiosity what plugin did you used for the piano?
@Metede272 ай бұрын
Thank you! I didnt plan to stop any time soon. For the piano I used the default FL Studio close piano + soundgoodizer and fruity reverb. But I am planning to buy the noire piano from kontakt next month

how long have you been doing music?
@Metede2716 күн бұрын
Hey, I am playing piano for 11 years now. But I started a year ago making music in FL Studio. You see, I dont think my FL Studio knowledge is any good if it helps. My 11 years piano experience carried me a lot. But to be honest, you could play piano for 1 year and be even better than me. Like, I really wasted time and didnt try to improve, I only played for fun (which is cool too. Fun is always first!)

@@Metede27 Thanks for sharing this. I've been using fl for a few months now and am learning how to play the piano as well. Your videos are really inspiration I just watched some of them and its crazy what human being are cabable of creatively. Please keep making music 🙏🙏🙏 Also do you have any tips for learning piano. Thank yuo!!
@Metede2716 күн бұрын
Thank you for watching my videos, I appreciate it 🫡 For playing piano, I used to go to piano lessons for like 9 years. So I learned by reading notes and playing from sheets. But I think the way I improved composing stuff was by just playing around on the piano. Just mess around and remember what sounds good. I would focus on one key first (Like me playing mostly on a minor still after all these years, its easy and uses only white keys) If you arent there already, I recommend you to use all your fingers. If you want to play songs without reading notes, you can just search up midi songs on youtube..the best thing with this is that you can also see how the pianists are playing all the different parts and how they use their hands. I hope I could help you atleast a little bit. I am still trying to impprove at playing piano and composing too. Just dont give up and dont make it too unfun for yourself. Good luck!
