Some artists like to some artists do not. It is really personal preference. As long as the base layers are mixed with 2-soft and paint. That is a must. We always suggest testing and experimenting to see what works best for you.

Why is a white base coat needed on white vans? Do I still add 2-soft to each color if I’m doing a color block style?

The base coat is to set the foundation for the the paint. Adding a base coat with paint and 2-Soft will give the other paints a base to properly adhere to. This will also keep the materials soft. If you are doing just color blocking then you shouldn't have to add a base coat but just add 2 Soft to each color you use. Hope this helps... I recommend that u guys do a Funky old skool style on some Nike Cortez. Or mabe a classic comic spider-man and a zoomed in eye looking at the city. Mabe a shoe with all the most famous horror films for example Jason (Friday the 13) Freddy Cuger (Nightmare on elm street) Michel (Halloween) and more... hope my ideas are helpful and in a video soon. You guys are always amazing.

You really do not need anything on fabric/canvas once you are finished. The paint is waterproof once it's dry.

The paint will last on canvas forever. You will just come across normal wear and tear like any normal shoe. Preparation is KEY When it comes to different materials. This we explain on our other video that you can learn and enjoy. The video on how to clean shoes like customs that is up will certainly show how well the paint stays on as well.

Was that a #2 round that he used for the palm tree? And when you’re blending the colors, what if one color dries and you can’t “move” that color anymore?

It looks to be a #1 Round... Just a bit smaller that the #2 Round. Blending like this is just a matter of going back and forth with each color and working them into each other as best as you can while still wet. If the color dries then you may have to re-apply more of that original color and continue with the wet technique.
