Omgoodness, I was literally thinking that you should leave all of your trees up and just decorate them seasonally for each Holiday. Esp the white ones would be beautiful/ adorable for Valentines. Also, have you ever thought about A River Cruise? I know some include gambling and several activities geared for adults. That might be fun, esp since they're slow moving. Anyhow, I love ya girl, you're amazing imo at everything you do and I'm grateful that you don't allow the naysayers to affect you in any way. Our main tree is very woodlands witchy yule vibes and yes i agree. We leave that one up and call it a "winter tree" not a Christmas tree. And it helps me appreciate the long winters we have in Washington... because after new years im ready for sun lol but we have to wait for may/june ish so that tree helps me. Especially with the lights❤ My boys make clear ornaments filled with stuff we find outside for that tree. And we also make a star out of branches we find and stick branches/twigs we find inside the tree😍 thats the vibe.

Boxing Day is a historical day of giving to the needy, boxes containing food, clothes gifts. Boxes were also left outside churches or given to employers and employers were given the day off. It is only commonwealth countries that celebrate the tradition. 😊

Angie- I went from Christmas decor of looking like the north pole moved into my house, to living a much more natural life similar to yours and Andre's. Now, I mostly decorate with lots of greenery ( high quality real looking but artificial) and white twinkle lights and tons of flameless flickering timed candles. Love the warmth it gives during the dark days, it stays up until the sunshine comes back or, until I'm tired of it. You do you!

I hope your renos go great and it is everything you want and more when it’s done! And fabulous that you can spend the time in Florida while the work is being done. I love the gifts as memories of your grandparents. So sweet! And, as usual Andre did marvelous on your gifts! He knows you so well. As for the taking down of the decor-I think each person can do it however they want. I take mine down the day or two after Christmas. It just helps make me feel more calm and put together to get the house back together and I deep clean while doing it. Some people leave it up to epiphany and some longer than that. I think it’s whatever works for you and no one should be judged or shamed for it. Enjoy your Florida time! Wishing I was there at Disney right now but a vacation isn’t in the plans for us for a while unfortunately-work and family obligations. But I’m thankful for my husband job and I’m thankful for our family so no complaints! Be blessed!

I agree, Angie, the older you get the more sensitive you become to sounds. I like it quiet. Noise overwhelms me. Also, I was blessed with a heightened sense of smell so I believe that others can definitely have increased senses, such as hearing, smell, etc.

Just did this today, felt so good and reset for 1/1/25!!! Safe travels to Disney and have the most magical NYE to you both!! CRUISE TIPS: If you're looking for a cruise that's low to no children try Celebrity! There's never hardly any, maybe a handful! And I like the 7 days cruises, a little nauseous day 1 at night too but then I am fine the rest of the way. Also try and pick an itinerary where the ports are close together so the ship travels "slower" and doesn't "haul" as*. LOL

@ I can’t wait to soak up the ‘not so spooky’ magic! We did 3 Disneyland trips in 2023 (including attending an Oogey Boogie Bash) so it’s time for us to go again. This trip will be a little slower so we can soak it in. We have two park days with a chill day in between, for meandering the hotel and Downtown Disney.
