I think that Mike's perception on himself affects the way he thinks WE as a collective view him (which is valid). He's iconic to us, regardless of his flaws. The greatest...without him having to give us anything at all other than what he's already accomplished. While brutally honest, there's a darkness to it that makes me sad. To be forgiven is to step back into the light... and I think that he thinks he's done sooooooo much wrong that he's too far gone; and I just don't believe that to be true. It resonated with me because it’s where I’m currently at in my life and needed to hear in order to continue moving forward and accepting that I can’t take people with me.
