It’s interesting how we give parents who leave so much empathy. We make up stories to help us to deal with the truth which in many cases they just walked away. But on the other hand we give the parent who stayed and raised us the roughest time. And I think we do that because we know no matter how bad we treat them they will never walk away
@cyensmith67882 жыл бұрын
I believe we romanticize abandonment. For the parent who stays, we get to experience them in full capacity. We see them happy, angry, frustrated, tired, ya know what I mean? For the absent one we don't experience them that way and we create the image of them that we need in order to cope with their absence. It's usually a happy one because we need to believe that we would be better suited where the absentee parent is. We should be nice to the parent that stays because we understand how hard it is to raise a child when they're impacted by the abandonment too.

Angie even if you weren’t particularly a gift to your father in this world you are such a gift to the innumerable amount of people, such as myself, who have been with you watching and learning from you throughout your amazing and legendary career. You are a gift to us ♥️ chin up queen don’t let that crown slip.
