Most interesting. I love experimenting, trying out new ideas regardless of who is using them or where they are used. This video is a great example of what is different & their is no way that this form of UK fishing is not adaptable for fresh or seawater here in Australia. Cheers to AD & recreational fishers everywhere.

Great video. I always did bits of fishing with my dad growing up but he always set everything up. Now he fishes for big specimen carp which doesn't really appeal to me. I prefer simple ledgering in a river. I joined a Facebook group and someone suggested using a swim feeder rather than a sliding weight. Makes sense! I watched some videos but they were so complicated with all their fancy rigs and knots. You really did a great job in explaining it in Lehman's terms! Gonna try this on the river Dee (Chester) next week 👍🏻

Excellent video. I love using cage feeders. I normally would use a cage feeder packed with ground bait. I would also use 4 lb main line and a size 18 hook tied to nylon. Double caster as bait. Or two bronze maggots or two white maggots. Also you would make sure that you have a decent landing net to land the fish. So there you go my own tactic for fishing in rivers or lakes.

Really helpful video, thank you. I've been shown how to do it and given it a go but never caught anything! When I tried my hook kept getting tangled but going to give that blue thing a try with a quick change bead as not used either before. Thanks again

I always wondered how anglers were able to cast so accurately time after time. Never realised that's what the line clip was for. I've always just used mine when packing up to keep the line on the reel.... Yes I'm new to fishing 😂
@AnglingDirectTV2 жыл бұрын
Hopefully you can now put your line clip to good use and improve your accuracy. 💪

Hi, I bought a feeder rod, but it was far to stiff actioned below the quiver tip. It was also to long at 12 foot. I was wondering what you'd recommend as a cheap starter feeder rod

Korum ambition 10 or 11ft quiver rod, it's brilliant, comes with a 2oz, 3oz and 4oz quiver tips

Why would the fish bite the hook when they can just eat the feed? I figured feeder fishing would be plopping down a feeder area and then using a second rod to fish them out...guess I was wrong.
