I noticed some comments where viewers got bored during the map talk portion of this video. Not Me! With the advent of computers in the 80s, then internet mapping systems, and now GPS mapping there are very few people under 60 y/o (at least here in the states) that can actually read a paper road map to figure out how to get somewhere. Society has become so reliant on GPS/digital systems that paper maps have almost went the way of the dinosaur. Noraly teaches us so many things, some more subtle that others, like as simple as the importance of map reading. Thank You Noraly for keeping this practice alive. Peace! ❤❤❤

@@lucindavillarreal2676 I always look/take a road atlas map when planning a cross country trip so when plugging destination into GPS I know if its charting my preferred route. Even Noraly modified her opinion in a more positive direction by saying at the last that it was actually " nice" , in spite of its 650km of terrain which did vary from plateau, with landslide , to lower plains . Maybe ten or twenty years from now it will be remembered with more fondness. A day of riding straight flat roads still beats any day of not riding , anywhere , and this video episode was again memorable .

I'm a bit sad we don't get to see you visiting Benguela and Lobito, Huambo ...in Lubango, the Tundavala and riding the beautiful Serra da Leba road towards the Namibe desert and the Atlantic coast...but I can imagine how challenging the crossing to Zambia could be and how great the episode will be! Safe travels!

I am very grateful to KZbin because sometime a few days ago a video of you Norally was shown to me. I watched it and was enchanted. Yes, I would have wanted to do that too, forty years ago when I was your age. It's a bit too late now, but I've been travelling with you ever since, now in Africa and retroactively with your first trip from India to the Netherlands. And I will watch all the videos and explore the world with you. You're already doing a great job. I would probably never have had your patience and kindness, so it's good that I didn't have to cross the borders of strictly totalitarian states. Although I did grow up in such a state. I appreciate freedom all the more, as long as it still exists. Maybe our paths will cross somewhere at some point. Thank you for the wonderful hours in front of my big screen...

Nice little geography class at the beginning of the vlog - thanks Noraly for detailed discussion about planning your further route to reach East Africa. And the end of the vlog promises an adventurous entertainment in the next. Ride safe Noraly , excited to see another border crossing … Godspeed

Noraly, you are such a brave woman and such an inspiration! Often when I watch your videos I pray God sends a hedge of protection over you and surrounds you with guardian angels. We all enjoy so much you sharing glimpses of all the different landscapes and cultures that you encounter. Always be safe as we know you are and thank you for all the great adventures!!!

I enjoy watching your videos, especially the ones where I am familiar with the country shown. Angola, being one of them, I must say it is a pity that you never went south as you missed, in my view, the best part of the country. I look forward to Zambia as I lived and worked there for three years.

A beautiful day of riding such amazing scenery and meeting great people along the way! Alaska is an incredible motorcycle, 63,000 km and counting! Ride safe Noraly!

As far as I know, Angola is oil producing country, hence cheap fuel costs. Zambia is a landlocked country, and fuel comes in by road or rail, so fuel will be more expensive there. Safe travels Noraly and Alaska!

Why people have to queue for fuel in Africa? We do not do that in asia.

You speak portuguese very well. I lived in Angola, Mozambique and South Africa so I have enjoyed these videos so much. I left Africa about 45 years ago but still love it.

Just amazing video, your content quality grew with leaps and bounds since your early days (long time viewer). I do absolutely understand your planning and choices. But I have to say cutting out the Death Acre in the south west, Foz de kunene, Iona, o man you are missing out on legendary stuff. Having completed death acre 3 times and going for the 4th this December it is the absolute highlight of my bike riding career. Please come back and reconsider just that, takes us 13 days on average to do a loop. It is exactly as you say- desolate, we plan very carefully for fuel and water and take no vehicles and max 3 riders. Bikes only. But the south for me is the real Angola. Amazing people living in an unforgiving place.

The difference between Angola and Nigeria (the major oil producing countries in Africa) is like night and day.Even the gas stations in rural Angola are more modern and organized than the ones in Nigeria's main cities! The checkpoints in Nigeria looked very intimidating.Quite post apocalyptic if you ask me.

The diference is not the oil... Is the culture. Angola is an old portuguese colony... And the rest you need to find for yourself, why there is a big diference.

I was in Menonque via Huambo and then went to Cuito Cuanavale. The Road was very good in 2012. From Menongue you could also go south to Rundu. Enjoy your journey!

Hats! Off. Africa, the best and most gorgeous - was possible to realize due to Noraly's ride all across Africa. She was lucky that she saw a group of lions at very close range (in one of her old videos ) while she was riding by herself. Bravo!
