Noraly is completely at the mercy of people wherever she goes (she's certainly not helpless, but she is only one person), and so many of us care for her, but can do nothing to help from our seats (the only comfort is, the event happened about a month ago, and the video is up, so we know she is ok). How do you know the event happen about a month ago, that is July 20th ?

@goodman4093 because on one episode a while back, someone said that they knew about a certain tree that Noraly visited (the Cotton Tree, maybe?) was now gone, so she must have seen it just before it blew down, approximately a month before the video was released. Also, Noraly herself says she delays them to help prevent people from tracking and following her (she said this during her interview in England in July, I believe). Fame has its costs.

I had never seen an ounce of frustration in Noraly's face before, no matter how harsh or dangerous the situation. But when that man took her camera from her hands. Wow! But she knew how to control her frustration and kept her cool. That's how our hero handles what the world throws at her. Chill Out and Ride On! The hike to the waterfall was awesome. I see that the tropical countries in Africa, are very similar to the ones in South America. The fauna and flora look very much alike. Beautiful!

lol then you're at their mercy? You're at the country's mercy 24/7 on an unspoken arraignment of good faith with people she knows nothing about, nor what to do if there's an emergency or worse... disarmed in a second, and these are people who most likely weren't nefarious... imagine putting blind trust in an entire country who don't have any accountability like these men. In most places, young people who lack sharpness and wit are recruited into the military, where they undergo training to become rough and impolite. Noraly's skillful handling of the uncomfortable and awkward situation with calmness and poise has earned considerable admiration.

"Young" is the wrong word. "Uneducated" is the word. These men don't understand their job and training so they abuse the power of their gun. They most likely had very basic formal education. A lot of soldiers in poorer African countries are not very well educated. Such systems (governments) are not very functional so soldiers are not disciplined in cases like these.

ask americans who made check points in the middle east. They shoot anybody who's speeding towards the checkpoint, strip people to their butt and search them unlawfully. Not only cameras, if you can live through it, you're lucky. I'm sick and tired of everybody pointing fingers at africans, like if this only happen in Africa, like if so many people went through check points with no problem. If really Africa is that bad an unarmed white woman wouldn't have stood a chance here. Many people cycle through here with no problems. If you don't want to deal with the military checkpoints, don't come to a continent that mostly ruled by military.
