My tabby boy was like that. He trusted me completely though that didn't mean he always liked it. For instance he once got a big wound on his hind leg that looked nasty and needed to be cleaned and disinfected. He growled the entire time, but didn't move or make any indication he would attack and gave me mlems as soon as I was done. I swear he understood that everytime I had to do something he didn't like, he knew it was for his wellbeing.

I so wish I could have had my old cat Cazimi groomed by you before he passed away! We took him to Petsmart once for a grooming appointment because he had mats on his back, and even though we warned the groomer that he's a little spicy, we ended up getting him back with the mats just shaved out by a very traumatized groomer. If looks could kill but in all seriousness, he was pretty chill about the grooming process. A lot of cats don't like their paws being touched so that was understandable. Didn't you say that you have flexible cat harness when they're in the bath tub so that they don't run away? I remember you saying that it's a special harness since cats have very brittle bones in their neck area

Maybe the harness and cone can't be used at the same time? She may have had to make a decision and chosen the bite safety option 🤔 idk! I always groomed our Persian cats at home and never used a cone or a harness, but Persians have a hard time biting anything lol

Rocky was actually a pretty cooperative cat. My demon cat Whiskers would be out for blood when we washed him (he wasn't great at grooming so he needed some help) but then would scamper around all proudly when he was clean and dry. He was never less of an asshole for the next bath, though. Rest in power, Whiskers ✊😸
