Boehly actually was backing him from what is evidenced. But Chelsea are run by more than a single person. Behdad Eghbali, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart were much more prominent this season. Jose Feliciano was occasionally spotted as well. There could be more voices lurking in the shadows. Boehly gets too much flak for no reason sometimes.

Yeah I'm a Spurs fan annd this is precisely why I want Spurs to keep Ange because I feel that despite the poor end to the season I feel we've made real progress under him. After Mourinho an dConte losing Ange would put Spurs in the same trap Chelsea are in now. 4th/5th was probabl ythe best we could have hoped for atm with the squad we have so Ange has convinced me. I just hope that unlike some othe rmanagers he has th echanc eto improve things. I'm suer Poch will find a job elsewhere as he was a great manager for us just unlucky at those vital moments when we could have won something. But I think a lot of managers will be thinking twice abou ttaking the Chelsea job if they feellike they'rejust going to get tumbled out at the end of the season i fno tearlier. As reported elsewhere, one of the reasons was that Pochettino and top management wanted a “set piece “ coach , to which Pochettino objected or at least wasn’t interested in . Top clubs have such manager. Pochettino is not a top coach. Proven nothing , anywhere .

I think it's safe to say that unless the owner's decide to change their approach and stop treating Chelsea like they're playing Football Manager then this cycle is likely going to just keep going and even get messier if their solution is to bring in less experienced and younger "Yes!" men to replace him and help steady the ship with the youngest squad in the league who have had 5 managers in the last 2 years. 😐
