Angry Karen shows up while I'm mowing an Elderly Couple's house and starts swearing at me demanding I come mow hers for free. She was extremely frustrated I was helping this Elderly Family out because they always get free handouts. I would have never anticipated having something like this happening.

I’ll subscribe. I do have an idea to share. I live in in MN and I happen to have enough money to get some yard maintenance, cutting the lawn and winter snow removal. We moved into this home when the kids were 5 and 2. I was 31 at the time and I’m almost 70 now. I did all the yard work, maintenance and snow shoveling. One more thing we have on the property is one of the fire hydrants on the block. I took it upon myself to make sure the hydrant was accessible from the street and there was 365 degree access for the firefighters could het to every hose connection. My challenge is I can’t do that much labor anymore so this past winter the hydrant got buried. I guess I got the people around me too dependent on me. Especially given nobody felt enough concern to dig out the fire hydrant. I just didn’t think I need to recruit a person to take over given my legs and lower back pain have kept me from doing as much as I once did. I never did all of this for recognition because I did it because it needed to be done. So by the time winter ended no one has stepped up to take over. The City doesn’t have a plan and I don’t have a plan. It would be so nice if someone could help recruit a replacement. It would be great if a person like yourself could somehow recruit ant train volunteers on proper space management Thanks!

I used to do the same thing for my next door neighbor. When I mowed my lawn, I mowed hers, too. She didn't have a lawn mower, and I was just being neighborly. When she moved out and a young couple moved in, I continued the chore for them until they got their own lawnmower. I got thank-yous, from those whose lawn I mowed and the other folks in the neighborhood, not complaints and demands like from the woman in this video.

Then when they leave go back to normal and forget about them as they've already forgotten about you. We have an elderly couple liveing two blocks away. I offered to mow their lawn for free and got turned away. I was able to mow another person's lawn, a widow whose son is in the business and let her lawn get 8-12 inches deep. I had to mow it three times at different levels just to get the clippings to settle down rather than look like a hay field. No charge.
