If that gives you shives, here is something what happened next to my city: A straight and long street, dawn, two bikers cruise about 70km/h. What they didn't know was that two fools up ahead were racing (100-140km/h) and soon to collide with one of them, frontal. A BMW overtook the other another one and right at this moment crashed into the first biker on the bikers lane. His Torso torn apart from his legs instantly. His friend survived somehow, steering to the side with several injuries. A chopper took him to the hospital. It's a bad idea riding a bike at night because other people won't see you... not to mention how many of them have bad night-sight or eyes. You can be the best rider in town but that means nothing.

Some motorcycle jackets (looking at you Alpinestars...) don't come with back protection against impacts, your elbows that can be healed/amputated/replaced? yes, your spinal column? lolno. At least Alpinestars gives some of their jackets that racing hump on the upper back to prevent the neck snapping backwards I guess/also levers your shoulders off the ground and more impact down the back straight to the coccyx. That last accident. Same thing happened to me when I was 16 years old on a Kawasaki 400 heading into Simi Valley, CA on the 118 freeway West right before the Tapo Canyon exit. Open freeway and car came out of nowhere and hit me from behind. Driver said I flipped up on his car and slide off the side. I slide about 50 yards into the middle of the East/West freeways. I don't remember the hit, I only remember waking up and seeing stars going past my eyes knowing this is not the view I'm supposed to be seeing. Slide to a stop. Big rig truck had to try and avoid running over me. I was able to walk away from it but with road rash all along one side of my body - I was wearing a thin Members Only jacket that night (1985). The hospital had to pick the asphalt out of my body and it took 8 months to heal with puss oozing out of my wounds every day.....for eight months. I think that was the first month the new minors helmet law went into effect and my helmet was cracked in three pieces. Lucky to be alive today. Now I ride a vintage 1996 Harley-Davidson Softtail.

@@AJayC599 Not all motorcycles have hazards. Also, stop. Don't do that shit in a car, some views of your vehicle might not be able to see both of your rear lights and you'll have people thinking you're making a lane change since they just see the one yellow blinker. Control your vehicle and keep an exit path, don't try to control other people's with that hazard light nonsense when you're not in a hazard yourself. Besides the turn signal view, some people see that and expect you to move over to the shoulder. TL;DR Don't use hazards if it's not your hazard, it can cause lane-change confusion in busy traffic where not all of your sides are seen, and in light traffic people behind you may not STOP because they think you'll be rolling off to the shoulder. To communicate slowing to a stop, use the brakes. That's what they're made for.
@MrCODEmaster002 жыл бұрын
@@XSR_RUGGER Right on, moving over/near the dotted lines and/or behind a car's brake lights are best practices, keeps the lane-split escape path, and also makes it look like a car is stopped rather than just 1 lone red light when you position behind back-left/back-right tail lights.

That last one, I've seen it on several videos. Lets suppose the freeway is 65mph, the biker was probably doing 80mph, which is not unreasonable. That car had to be doing at least 100 or 120, just saying that model, last I checked, has a governor set to 120mph by the manufacturer. Either way, that car was flying!!! I don't care that the kid was literally a kid at 16, he should not be driving that fast or even at night in a storm w/o some sort of supervision. That accident was 100% avoidable and one of the things that scares me as a rider in Phoenix. We have similar freeways here as Texas and similar speeds. I see people fly down them all the time, even during rush hour. It's OK to be late people, ease off the pedal and stop trying to make riders your hood ornaments. SHEESH

By the Penal Law for Reckless Endangerment, he's 100% responsible and considering there was at least four vehicles in that incident, that's at least four counts of it. Chronic - an example of why motorcyclists shouldn't intentionally strike people's vehicles. Yes, the F-150 driver was drinking and chose to chase, definitely deserves the lion's share of blame, but without that unnecessary contact the chase never happens. You had more than enough time and room to deviate your path. Be as mad as you want at terrible drivers, they're everywhere, but you don't know who you may be provoking. You escalated the situation because of your ego and your feelings were hurt, and it led to someone's death. Wouldn't be inconceivable for some lawyers to go after you for manslaughter.
