Angry mother cat trying to protect her kittens

Angry black cat started hissing and spitting at me when she thought I was going to hurt her babies. While she was trying to protect her babies she accidentally scared another mother cat's kitten.

Laying on the side is a fighting position for cats. If you'd try to approach her she might kick you with the hind legs and try to bite you. She is undecided though and makes a peace offer with a blinking of her eye.

Id say it is a good sign. The cat didnt want to start a fight. But she was hella scared for her children or maybe thought the human would contest the kittens food. Therefor she went aggressive to grab the attention. As soon the woman was focussing at her she lies down to show that she doesnt want to fight. Just dont come to close to her or the children against while she is this stressed and distrustful. You can't expect a feral cat to just blindly trust you with her offspring.

She’s aggressive because you grabbed her kittens and are dragging them round, mixing all the colony together, you dont know whose they are, whose the mother, and she is scared you are harming them. Leave wild animals alone. If you want to feed them, put down the food and leave, dont destroy the colony simply for click baits and likes

Hey I appreciate what you do for these cats, but please don't 'try' to be friends with a protective mother. Please leave the mother alone when she is stressed out; I'm sure there are other cats and kittens to be filmed and posted on KZbin. You don't have to film EVERY cat out there especially the ones who are getting scared of you 🤷‍♀
