Angry Rant - Evil West Is An Exercise In Frustration

Evil West was supposed to a fun game and a bit of a distraction releasing around some big AAA releases like God of War: Ragnarok. Instead, the game caused me irrational levels of anger and frustration. In this video, I vent about Evil West and its problems that irritated me so much, I felt compelled to make a video on it.

This game is the definition of artificial difficulty. It feels like its meant strictly to be played as co op. But then they didnt bother to balance it for single player. Some of these arenas are the most lazy design. They just shove 5 mini bosses and a thousand adds. The game never gives you a basic damage upgrade. So your left to fight the tankiest mfkers doing chip damage. Your forced to dodge roll every other second because the sheer amount of enimies dont give you any breathing room to focus on one. The game makes it a point to use your gauntlet charge abilities but then once you use them it takes forever to recharge to use them again. One of the most frustrating games I played and its not because its hard. Its just cheap. I do love everything about this game. But they need to tone this shit down if they want to have longevity.

Preach brother the final mission bull shted me so much it was taking unnecessarily long. So I put it to story from hard for the first time and felt cheated on how low my melee damage was and how slow the recharge for abilities were on hard. Lazy game design. Made my impression of the game go from mediocre to dog sht with that lazy azzz final mission.

Game is cool, it doesn’t need to be some woke emotional garbage with an open world. Its simple and to the point, its a GAME that didn’t have ten thousand tutorials/menus

You have the same camera complaints w Evil West that I have about God of War Ragnarok. I platinumed GoWR on Give me God of War difficulty (the highest) and my honest opinion is the camera is the toughest enemy in the game. Encounters w multiple enemies are way harder than single boss fights because the fov/camera. If I could pull back even a little it would be helpful. The indicators do little to help this when you have attacks coming from all sides and your friends shouting "look out Kratos!" is as much help as spiking your controller into the floor on a re-try. I do not know why I am the only one that wanted a fov option and reviewers just gushed over this game they must have played on give me story mode. Thanks for the info on Evil West. I would like to pick it up on sale as I enjoy character action games. Happy Gaming!

This game is so utterly broken on a fundamental level. Completely unbalanced, slow unresponsive combat, possibly the most unfun mechanics I’ve ever experienced. It’s got zero redeeming features. Honestly a 1/10 and I’ve never said that about any game. Absolute steaming pile of dog shit

I agree, I finished it. Gaz is a moron. The game is 3rd person Doom, the combat is a blast. They need to fix the bugs however. It being the first iteration, I'm hoping for a second. A few things they need to improve on, the game was fun which to me is the main thing.

This game is a good 7/10 reminds me of the PS3/360 era.. good times! Just beat it on evil difficulty and had a blast. U just need to get gut And learn the games mechanic.

I bought it to check it out and benchmark it and was going to refund it but than had played a little over 2 hours. It's not so bad but not worth the $50 imo. $40 max

Personally this has more replay than the callisto protocol. I thought callisto was going to blow me away but after you get used to the jump scares , evil west has more replay so a better bang for your buck .evil west gets the linear stamp of approval .

Plenty of crap games out there. TBH I am not sure why it took 10.5 minutes to do and Angry Joe on this one. Shorter and saucier would have been better IMHO
