Fenyx Rising Lost Gods DLC Is completely different.
While Nier REPLICANT VER.1.22474487139 and Returnal reviews are coming from me, I wanted to check something else out and Fenyx Rising the Lost Gods felt like the perfect review.
While not AC Valhalla Fenyx Rising offered something a bit on the side and different this DLC is as different from Fenyx as Fenyx was to AC...well actually more. Lost Gods is out on the 23rd for PC, PS4, Xbox, Stadia

Yeah it was also really hard looking at your surroundings during exploration. I would try to look up a little to see if there was a cliff edge or a resource I needed before taking the plunge but I couldn’t! It was so frustrating. I also really like looking around and enjoying the scenery and the sky and horizon is part of that so I really missed it with the camera angle.

I’ve gotten AC fatigue, so I appreciate that Ubisoft is trying out new things in Fenyx Rising. It’s almost like having 3 different games lol and the fact that it’s constantly on sale is even better. Good sales will encourage them to keep trying newer stuff albeit slowly

I just bought the gold edition. This game is SO MUCH FUN! I love every minute of it so far! I just met aphrodite. I just hope it's not too repetitive like other Ubisoft games

You’re very early in it still but yeah, it’s a brilliant game. I didn’t get as bored as some people to seem to have. It’s very much inspired by BotW which is one of my favourite games of the previous generation

Its repetitive but not like assassins creed or watch dogs. Its basically a looser breath of the wild with imo cooler characters. I love the game and the graphics (i have the ps5 version and also tried the demo on pc) are insane if you have a nice 4k tv or monitor.

I just finished the game and I have to say IF it wasn't for the crappy camera angles this could have been a really great experience better than dlc #2. Fenyx watching over Ash from Olympus sounded good in theory but the execution was a disaster 🤨 Ash has some really cool outfits and weapons but you have to go into the menu screen to enjoy them or use a magnifying glass 🧐

Honestly I love this game and all the DLC I really love the storyline and the gameplay up until lost gods and I was about frustrated for like a week and rage quit and then came back and got adjusted to the new changes to the camera and save points through the altars. I did like the fact that towards the end of the game there was a vault inside of a vault. The Ending of the game was good to left it open for new developments which I like

I really loved the original game. This DLC really disappointed me, hated the camera angle, i didn't like Ash and i just wished that they kept building on Fenyx's character and story now that she is a FUCKING GOD! I really hope that if we get a sequel to the game i hope that they won't continue with this camera angle and that you'll continue to play as Fenyx with new original abilities and actually make her feel like an actual god. That would be badass! I really like her character and i just wanna continue to play as her.

Does it have any of the crash to desktop issues of the first game? I absolutely loved the first one, but ended up giving up because it would just crash to desktop with no warning after about 15 mins, read it was quite common with no fix. Hopefully this one is working well, cos I really did enjoy the game.

I really enjoyed the base game and the current dlc's but looking at that top down view I feel like its lost some of its the charm which is a shame. Hoping for a sequel, ideally set in Egypt but doubt we'll even get one.

Loved the base game! Although I also blame them for screwing my platinum trophy. Missing one trophy due to a glitched story item I had to get and the game said nope. The problem with that trophy was reported by multiple people and Ubisoft didn't bother finding a fix. Meh. That aside, thank you for your review and keep it up bro!

Immortals Fenyx Rising was one of my favorite games of 2020 and I've enjoyed both expansions thus far. Glad to see the third one is shaping up well, too. The lack of any transparency for camera-obstructions is a bit of a shame, but I bet the coding and art assets needed for that would have been way too expensive for a DLC. Still sounds and looks like a hoot Also, I would have never imagined that of the two games, I would end up binging Immortals Fenyx Rising and petering out on AC: Valhalla to such an extent that it's been half a year and I still have eight zones to go. The exact opposite of what I expected. Trippy. Here's to hoping that Ubisoft greenlights a second one. It'd be nice to see a new franchise under their belt.

I really enjoyed it, however it wasn’t till I got most of the moves where I felt like I was able to traverse correctly, and by god, these enemies just keep spawning or they’ll travel really far distances to come to me when I’m just trying to open a chest or use an altar, that part is annoying

the dlc was pretty fun but something that bothered me to no end was the mas amounts of enemies that spawn absolutely everywhere. The place that you save/heal are fixed points you have to travel to like dark souls so if you're trying to heal and a single enemy spots you, all the hoards of enemies around will also go towards you and the enemy groups are so close together that it feels like fighting an army. you can't even wipe them out and get on with your day because harder enemies will spawn in their place so there's no point to seeking out fights. It takes so long for enemies to stop following you and if I want to save I basically just have to hide in a bush for like 3 minutes until I'm finally allowed to interact with the save point

Hope they learn their lesson when they wanna make a dlc like this for future titles. Cos I for one don't recommend this dlc for folks, the top-down perspective doesn't help when the enemies, puzzle, and even traversal are tailored for behind the shoulder and not top-down camera.

You can play the dlcs as standalone. If you reached the snowy mountain you pretty much finished the main campaign anyway

The worst part is the freakin' savepoints thing... you can make a lot of progress and take a while 'til finding the next savepoint, and BAM!, start over from the last. The camera angle is the worst BS and gives me headache and drives me crazy for not letting me see where I'm going or what is in my surroundings... It's kinda acceptable for the puzzles and battles and the equipment/skill settings, but everything else makes it irritating as hell... 5/10

The isometric view did such a disservice to this game. Create a beautiful world, and then force the player to stare at the ground. The best thing that could be done to improve this DLC is a mod to allow completely free camera. That and, completely rewriting the dialogue... yuck. It was cheesy in the main game, but it worked. In this DLC, it tries and fails in every attempt to be funny.

The camera angle is awful 😭 it makes everything so much more difficult.. collecting, fighting, finding where to go. It's incredibly frustrating. And it's so far out as "gods eye" that it makes me a little dizzy or frustrated trying to see better.

@@AtomicOwl Same. One of the things that was special for me with this game was the scenery, and with this camera angle you can’t admire it. It also restricts your view, making it fell like the devs almost don’t want you to see certain things until a certain point of the game. This camera angle, for me at least, makes the game feel linear. This is because when you try to go somewhere, you can’t really see where to go, so you just wander until you find the path to your location. Also, one of my gripes is that you have to save with recourses at the alters. Whenever you play, and then log of, forgetting to save at the alter, you lose all of your progress up until your last save. I feel like this dlc takes the philosophy of the base game, and throws it away to be something different.

I jumped the gun buying the season pass. I was hoping it would just be more cool gameplay and maybe even some new moves. Well a new God was kind of some new moves but it was a butt ton of puzzles and not original which was a disappointment. Then this top down thing is just silly. I just wanted more of the original game because the original game was awesome. This is just blah. I was seeking newness. Oh well.

This DLC is ridiculous. Enemies just keep spawning like wtf. I have a lifestyle armor or sword I don't even know. And I don't get any lifestyle from attacks. This whole DLC is strange.

Valhalla is already super long. Fenyx Rising's story is like 25 hours while Valhalla is like 60 hours, probably twice that to do everything... IFR was in need of DLCs much more than Valhalla.

Downloading it now. Just because I bought the ultimate edition. This game looks great in 4k but gets boring very VERY quickly. Its a game you just want to play, not play as a completionist
