If your house was anything like the first house I lived in in South Carolina, then your ceiling lights are wired with extension wire. No joke. The firemen came to the house after the ceiling fan started smoking and found that it was just extension cord after extension cord, from the ceiling fan, across the ceiling, down the wall, all the way to the breaker box, where it was cut off and wired into the breaker. I've honestly never seen a fireman that scared before in my life. LOL "It's a miracle your house hasn't burned down by now." Two weeks later, lightning hit the tree outside the house and traveled along the branch, into the home, and blew out an outlet and started a fire. That fire fighter wasn't invited.

Hey Angry, you probably won’t see this but my family’s been in flooring for the last 15 years, and normally how we’d remove linoleum is by cutting it and the plywood up into squares with a cordless saw without going all the way through to the subfloor, then putting a 3 foot pry bar under a corner of the 1/4 inch plywood and then using a malet or a hammer to push the bar under the plywood and tearing the whole thing out. It’ll do wonders, even if it’s nailed down. Hope this helps!

You don't have the true demo and full restoration experience if you're showing up to your money pit happy. It is completely normal to start praying that by some miracle that it catches fire and burns to the ground. But unfortunately most of us are not fortunate enough for this mercy to fall upon us...

0:10 Speaking of Schizophrenia, I just patched a crap ton of tack holes in a new house I got. No idea what it is with schizophrenics and poking tons of holes in the walls.

If the holes kinda protrude outward, could be a sign of termites :o
@manictiger4 жыл бұрын
@@FrankieHustla Nah, they're definitely tack holes. The previous owner of the house used to airbnb that room and they must have rented to someone with schizophrenia, because I've seen that hole-poking behavior before. It's also impossibly dirty, even for 17 years of no cleaning. It's like a bum rubbed against all the walls for the last 5 years. Oh yeah, and there was a noticeable mound of bug poop in the corner of the closet, so that's great.

@@joshualyle380 you poor man. I use straight pins most of the time or brad nails for heavier pictures. My husband on the other hand uses 1" nails or bigger or even screws. It drives me nuts. I always try to make the smallest hole possible because I've had to spackle and paint too many walls over the years.

"I'm not sure who my firstborn is, he's probably somewhere in Iraq", I feel your pain, my unknown firstborn might have been conceived in Ft. Benning, Ft Dix, or Ft. Ord about 25-28 yrs ago. (sorry about your Mrs, the NCO club makes you do things....She shoulda kept her ass at home while you were gone) On another note, you are a brave man taking on that flooring job. I don't mind doing plumbing, some electric, drywall, paint, bathroom work, but wood flooring I paid a guy to do it, making it look good takes patience and skill if you ask me. It was one of the places besides the roof on my fixer that I decided to spend money on the pros.

Ozone is O³ (meaning 3 Oxygen Atoms chained together as a molecule), and it is extremely flammable. The key to explosives is oxygen, and ozone is more efficient than air at adding oxygen.

I grew up in a house with that light fixture in the dining room. Also having had to deal with renovations on a really old house, the best item we have invested in is an ozone generator
