This maybe not well known but going through the brotherhood's steel dawn questline, the radio station(Transmission station 1AT-U03) near Tyler County Fairgrounds opens, the scorched down in the enclave station below it can drop enclave weapons with various mods already attached.

This list is not accurate enough. Google for "duchess flame enclave plasma gun" and on the first link you find a full guide including the datamined chances for each loose mod and at which trainstations they are available. For instance for the flamer mods you farm Watoga, but for Forceful Stock and Reflex Sight you should farm Berkley Springs.

It’s great to see an update video on this! I just picked up a true flamer mod for my EPG flamer yesterday. I upgraded from the stabilized flamer it initially came with. I run an aristocrats flamer with +25% damage while aiming and -90% weight. I have a prime receiver, reflex sight, and stabilized stock on it The most recent info I found from digging was like you mentioned, the flamers are all the same for the most part. However, a stabilized flamer is +25% recoil while the aligned and true flamer mods are minus recoil percentages, which is why I wanted to upgrade. I went with the true as it has 2% better aiming speed, 5% better aiming, but 12% less recoil then the aligned flamer. It’s -10% recoil for true, -22% recoil for aligned. How does that work in the grand scheme of everything? I’m not sure, but it has to be better than just +25% recoil. I checked this info by checking the mods on my flamer slug buster, so I assume it’s the same? I run a full health commando build, (I think? This is my 5th month of playing) no sneaking. Which works out as I learned from this video that the flamer is loud 😅 I don’t use VATs, just ADS, and honestly I don’t even notice my AP at all. I pretty much just keep melting the SBQ’s face and only stop to reload. My secondary is a AA handmade with 25dwa I use maxed commando and science cards, maxed bloody mess, maxed adrenaline, maxed tenderizer, and maxed tank killer and it does a lot of damage with my legendary perks. I think that’s everything off the top of my head, as I’m writing this on break haha. I also use one rank of long shot, I but may switch it to a max rank now as I realized ground pounder doesn’t make a huge difference to me while reloading my flamer and handmade (I have speed demon mutation). I share my setup and experience with it since I run a different build (non VATs) and have a great time using it! Could I do more damage using VATs? Sounds like it, but again I enjoy my setup and still melt enemies with it 😄 Thanks for doing an update video! I was really looking for current info on this weapon to see if I was maximizing its potential. Edit: can a case be made that an enclave flamer would benefit more from an ADS build as opposed to VATs? Maybe a future video topic to explore?

Since they added all the mods to the vender bots in watoga and the park I haven’t been able to find jack I use to be able to find the aligned flame barrel every 3 days haven’t found it since the change. It’s easier to get the entire flamer from dropped connection

@@philipjenkinson8137 The Aligned Flamer Barrel has a 0.03% chance to spawn on Watoga Shopping Plaza, Watoga Train Station and Grahm, a 0.005% chance as world spawn in Cranberry Bog locations and 0.10% Chance as reward for the Cop a Squatter daily. It has zero chance to spawn on the vendor bot in Berkley Springs or Lewisburg. You can still add Berkley Springs if you want to hunt other EPG mods like Reflex Sight or Forceful Stock. But checking Lewisburg is useless as it only has a small chance to spawn the Night Scopes which are not very useful.

Reflex sight not reducing ap has to be a bug. I got a reflex sight and legendary vampire 25 faster fire rate - 25ap cost. It was glorious. Hopefully it will be fixed.

As far as we know, it is not a bug but is intended as a nerf to the weapon as the epr flamer was vastly out performing everything.

Yes, I recently was a Rifleman then switched to Commando. Surprise! The same Flamer that I used switched also to "automatic" and maintained its war value! Hope they keep that! Note: Regular Plasma gun, not Enclave. Hope your Enclave gun will behave the same!

Also, I had a quad short barrel one that I slapped a sniper barrel on. The magazine should be 48 as it normally holds 12. To my surprise it holds 99. Pretty great for a powerful sniper. I don't know if it will do this if you just roll a quad sniper without it being modded from another barrel.

I have sniper mod attached to both rifle and pistol, with pistol makes same dmg as rifle and less vats cost ... and about quad I was surprised when I discovered ... have 2 quad rifles in my vendor but they dont sell like the flamer

Hi, Turtle. You should compare it to Holy Fire. I have several Enclave flamers, but the range makes it a lot less useful, in my opinion. Holy Fire does almost as much damage at a much better range, and I can sneak fairly well with it (just the sneak perk card level 3), and I can use it in VATS in a very ammo-efficient way. I am coming up on half a million fuel because of this play style.

@@chefbreccia2642 you have to put on a capacitor box mod that adds fire damage to the gun. This will make Friendly Fire card work with EPG. Beta wave capacitor or severe beta wave capacitor. Turtle mentions this in this video.

Just incase anyone was curious for trading.. Calibrated capacitor = 750ll3/300k caps Forceful stock = 500ll3/200k caps Reflex sight = 100ll3/40k caps Aligned flamer barrel = 100ll3/40k caps Aligned automatic barrel = 500ll3/200k caps Severe beta wave tuner = 200ll3/80k caps All other aligned barrels are around 50-100ll3/20k-40k caps depending on the person.. they arent very desireable outsided the aligned sniper barrel. Most valuable rolls are AA and V, 50c/ffr, 25lvc/wbs. 25LVC lowers flamer to 24ap cost. AA2525 full mods = 4000-4500ll3/1.6m-1 8m caps V2525 full mods = 3750-4000ll3/1.5m-1.6m caps The godrolls are AA2525, and V2525... but a combination of 50c instead of ffr is worth only maybe 200-300k caps less. And wbs can be valued about the same as 25lvc because it breaks so quickly, and youll be spamming coffee anyways😂 Last note, bloodied is great too, people generally value AA higher though because it works on any build and hits bosses harder, while everything else dies so quickly you wont see any difference between bloodied or aa..

The aligned sniper is probably 10-20k.. id probably throw it in for 10k Generally the loose mods are worth more than mounted to a gun. Because people will alot of the time have the roll they want, but just need the mods to add to theirs

I've always preferred it. +100 crit damage is amazing. Total I have +475 crit damage and I have very high AP + Grim reapers sprint + AP regen armor + Action Boy + Rejuvenated + Company tea so I very rarely have to use coffee. You just need to make the right build

All the crazy stuff that used to be fun to use has been snuffed out, you can still be strong but it is like 3 meta builds that the vast majority of people use. I miss some of the more crazy stuff that used to be in the game. Wish instead of custom servers that no one uses they would add in a legacy sever with all the broken stuff that used to be in the game. It would need to let you do everything the normal servers do just not bring stuff over to it that doesn’t exist in it. Then you could bounce back and forth depending on what mood you were in.

I run an EPG sniper from medium to long range. I have AA vats accurate, and bloodied vats accurate. With a stealth bonus from medium to long range the damage is still huge! 1 shot super mutants, 4 shot behemoth 👍

The great thing about the flamer version is it takes care of the high AP cost the EPG has since you can shoot it outside of vats with much better results and it has a native huge capacity.

Spawned at Watoga train station as Dropped connection was on. Entering the station and "joined" the event but ended 2 seconds later. Got rewarded an Enclave with True flamer barrel, stabilized stock and reflex sight. Never got one with three mods on them. Especially not after doing nothing at all.

Oh yeah I host fight clubs in specific locations or at my camp build for rematces. We sometimes play for stakes (3k to 10k caps) or we experiment different builds. I've taken down some Lv.2000s before.

Don’t forget any box mod you add or take off will be permanently used up. Be sure not to accidentally waste valuable box mods and also bear in mind rolling a decent set of legendary effects will be costly as you can only re roll and not craft them in bulk. Do consider, if you want an easier time and a lot less farming, using the regular plasma rifle, particularly the slug buster from wastelanders quest is excellent and easily modified as you can learn all the plans. The damage is not that much better for the enclave version so only grind for it if you really really want too.

the biggest nerf was making it a commando weapon with flamer mod, they took the one high DPS weapon riflemen had, and the best close support weapon they had, and gave it to commandos with already flooded weapon types that don't need "another good dps gun, but with short range"

Yo Turtle, the shops stay the same regardless of server. They only change every 20 hours when the caps/bullion/scrip resets for the day. I would go to every vendor that has a possibility of selling the mods on each character everyday for like 2 weeks and found every good mod for the EPG. I recommend you do this as well.

Since I never use VATS, AP is not an issue for me. I have the Enclave flamer, but I don't use it. My endgame weapon used to be a V FFR Flamer, now I use the Holy Fire. It's DPS is a little better than regular flamer. I have to be honest, though. I'm bored with this game and haven't played in over a month. I'm somewhere around level 970. I played full health entirely up until around level 450, iirc, so it took me longer to rank up. I don't think I could bear farming West Tek again.

try compare it to the standard plasma flamer, on paper - the damage isnt much lower in practice, the standard still melts everything as a daily driver and its competitive against bosses. easier to mod. The big selling point other than accessibility - it doesn't break as quickly as the enclave version. I cant remember if they consume the same AP.

Is the fixed ap cost on epr flamer still 30?

I have always said the ap cost is unreasonable on these. All the “grolls” posted with crit damage and even ap cost (usually around 25 before this), unless you spam coffee or cake, there is almost no point. I have an AA25dwa+50 flamer. Everyone said reroll it. Now sone are asking me for it. Its a face tank machine specially with sentry PA.

it took me a solid two weeks of only server hoping and trading on reddit to mod a dozen enclave rifles/flamer not ideal at all I hope they make it easier for people that don't have that kind of time. Using more than one character to server hop was my secret start the day in private server then join a team in public using different characters in same public server by closing application and switching characters. once i got a few reflex sights and calibrated capacitors it was easy to trade for everything else.

Why I DO use the ECR over the Fixer: 1a) Uses the same ammo as enclave flamer which melts things faster than a fixer. 1b) It also uses the same ammo as a modded pepper shaker which keep on me to make the scorchbeast queen land (enforcer uses agility where I have room, tormenter uses luck where I need the room) 1c) Uses the same ammo as the enclave plasma shotgun (obviously) which I use for tagging. 1d) Uses the same ammo as my plasma caster which I use a lot for random ass shit 1e) By using all the same ammo and utilizing -90% carry weight legendary effect on the heavy guns (pepper shaker and plasma caster), I am able to keep all these weapons on me and am prepared for any scenario except for when stealth is too advantageous to ignore (so basically just westek) 2) Batteries included reduced the weight of my fusion cores as well as my ammo, and it is on the intelligence (experience) side rather than strength [bandolier] 3) Waaaay better range than the fixer 4) More valuable for trade than the fixer with the right mods - no wasting those precious modules grolling the wrong thing 5) Rolling the "wrong" roll is just one mod away from being the right roll because it can be changed between pistol, shotgun, assault rifle, sniper, and flamer with just one mod (though the mods are hard to come by) How I use the ECR: 1) Max crit: +50% crit damage legendary effect, Calibrated receiver +100% crit, blight soup +125% crit, Better Criticals +100% crit, tesla science 7 +100% crit (Total +475% crit) 2) Max AP: Grim reapers sprint, -25% ap cost legendary effect, max agility (15 +5 [legendary agility] +15 [unyielding] +3 [herd mentality]), aligned barrel and aligned (or forceful!!) stock 3) Quad legendary effect: along with grim reapers sprint and rank 1 gun fu, it is absurd at taking down groups of enemies both near and far. Coffee can help but isnt always necessary Why I use The Fixer over the ECR: when stealth is necessary like wes tek, but after a character is maxed I find my fixers going over to my mules and my ECR's staying on me and hotkeyed Caveats: 1) Using the pepper shaker with the plasma mod requires you to lead the target due to the slow velocity of plasma projectiles 2) Due to the syringer debuff being stackable (likely a bug / going to be nerfed eventually), the railway is currently better at melting earle than the ECR (also better at melting earle than the fixer) 3) Setting up this kind of non-stealth ECR / plasma Chad build requires all legendary perks to be legendary special perks. Say goodbye to funky duds (and hello to union PA lol) and goodbye to master infiltrator 4) Thru hiker / white knight will be hard to squeeze in. I reccomend the grocers backpack mod but that means no high capacity :/ 5) Mods are hard to come by and cant be learned Hope someone finds this useful.. Feel free to add input and ask questions

Calibrated because it gives extra crit damage - so it’s perfect for you because you have extra ap refresh and less vats cost. (And of course you can only crit in vats)

I played few H with railway and I hate it hard to control without vats while flamer normal plasma oh God this is end game weapon for me with 3 stars that boost dmg I just own everything that approach me, I took another one for snipe setup /me lvl 51

Yikes. Changing the damage to additive, indirectly nerfing melee in the process. Then nerfing armor that boosted melee damage, further rendering them near useless. Then straight up removing legacies, and now more and more random weapon nerfs. The last time I was playing this was when they removed legacies. I don't really see myself coming back to this game at all. Why does Bethesda hate their endgame/veteran players so much?

Exactly how can a person get an Enclave Plasma Rifle? It seems confusing constantly, and like it changes, and so many people explain it differently. It is easy to find pistols of the Enclave Plasma Pistol. Why are so many things not clear in Fallout 76? Like can anyone explain where and what mole miners are supposed to be?
