Wow! that reef was underwhelming to say the least, and all that way. when you were at Montes the island across from you which was Gloucester Island is some of the best snorkeling you will find an abundance of sea life and colored corals.

When you go fast, the signal from the depth sounder via the transducer can’t bounce back quick enough for the sounder to read it

Try updating the software on your unit. Connect via wifi hotspot and check for updates.Mine had a very similar problem and the update fixed it 100%. Can travel at 25 knots and more and still perfect. The makers tech support will talk you through it.
