I loved his cracks about Britney Spears and the Daily Mail. "You might want to phone in now just to get in ahead of everybody else." Class ;-) Always got time for some Deayton comedy.

My fav piss-take of his was when he was also standing in for Rowan Atkinson who didn't turn up for the presenting job at some ceremony---when Angus said, Rowan was unavoidably detained at an Aston Martin showroom--- massive laugh and applause---

Angus Deayton is by far the best presenter on TV. I pretty sure people don't like him because Paul Merton almost told everyone to dislike him on HIGNFY!!

William and Michael. Jonathan Ross has a brother called Paul, who is also in showbiz, but miles from the success that his brother Jonathan has had. Angus said that because Paul is out of work most of the time, poor boy.

Bah, this is hilarious! Kinda sums it up really. What Russ and Jonathan did was rude, but in the end it was taken totally out of context and it seems like the vast majority of the complainers were people who hadn't even listened the radio show in the first place x] The show was funny. Just got carried away.

@TheEverTwistedOne It's irrelevant if someone heard it when it was broadcast, or via a catchup, or an excerpt. You can be sure that anyone going to the effort to lodge a complaint would have heard the offending broadcast.

@luskentyreuk well actually, yeah it does help if you've witnessed it, then you can actually judge it with knowledge of what actually happened, not judge it based on someone elses opinion which could be pretty screwy and nothing to do with the context of what acutally hapened.

@luskentyreuk That wasn't my point, my point was about the people who DON'T view the material AT ALL, but still go on what someone else has to say about it, and jump straight onto the bandwagon, and NEVER think to check it out first hand.

You mean 'Have I got News For You', Paul and Ian didn't really like him though, and unfortunately he can't really make jokes about other peoples private lives after the revelations about his. You're right though, he should be a regular on TV - although given the recent complaint culture I doubt the BBC would have him back as a regular for a while. Don't forget though he does host 'Would I Lie To You' on BBC1, which is quite good - depending on the guests.
