Merry Christmas man! Just got my case in and currently building it. I'm experimenting with that front fan plate. It appears it can be flipped around and still screwed in which should give a much needed gap between the glass and fans. Have you seen or thought about this? I can't foresee complications and it all seems to fit in well enough, figured I'd run it by a pro first though.
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
You can certainly try! When I flipped mine over, the mounting screws provided didn't reach the case frame, so that didn't work for me. If you can get it going, it should help, but I don't expect it'll be by very much, unfortunately.
@Darks9077 жыл бұрын
ALittleDIMM I ended up using radiator screws. It seems to work pretty well. Only talking about 1/8th of clearance or.less. But it will help. Now if only I could get my pc going... I think my CPU is DOA... Or the Mobo... Maybe PSU??? Never can tell without extra parts -.-

How do you like this case compared to the Corsair crystal case? Just watch your video on the C.C. and that case is damn beautiful, also the non restrictive airflow is pretty nice. Currently have the cube on the way, but am starting to think I jumped the gun.
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
They both look really nice, but I definitely prefer the 570X. More room for more things, better airflow, and I'm not a huge fan of tinted glass if I'm sporting the right hardware!
@Darks9077 жыл бұрын
ALittleDIMM I was actually going to tint the glass hah, I have the white version coming. The room for things definitely is a big concern. They make it seem to have a lot of configurations, but they limit you to what works well or what looks good. But I tell ya, I have seen a really nice liquid build in the case. Looks extremely impressive. To bad I am not willing to throw $500+ into a cooling system 🤣

@TheLateral187 жыл бұрын
that's a good point. I really like this dual chamber , to me all of the other cases look the same !! I like the review a lot , if you don't mind , have a more illuminated room , will be nicer , the viewer can appreciate the product more . what did you think of the cable management while you were putting the parts in there
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
Ah, yes, I would like to change up my lighting solution soon! Trying to figure out a good way to do that without disrupting too much of the mood the videos already give off. Plus, lights cost money... Cable management was a non-issue here! There's so much space in the back, you can be totally lazy about it and not worry, LOL! Though, if you want to be really picky about it, they do offer a lot of tie-down points, so even if you want to be perfect about it, you should be pretty covered. Your only issue might be that some cables are too long, since the power supply is behind the motherboard instead of below it!
@TheLateral187 жыл бұрын
lol, most things cost money . if you think about it one or two light bulbs will do it 😂😂😂😂 that's awesome !! I'm sold !! got to say that price tag it's a big high . thanks for the replays
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
A couple of bulbs would be pretty cheap, but I was hoping my next upgrade would be something a little fancier that would use less power! I'll be doing some research over the next few days... Subjective aesthetics aside, I think the Air 540 is a better case. True, it doesn't have all the options when it comes to mounting radiators, but how many choices do you really need? I have the Air 540 sitting on my dining table waiting for the parts to stuff it. It can hold a 360 up front and a 240 or 280 up top, so long as the 360 is on the thin side. Or you could stick with a pair of 280s. That's plenty of radiator for the vast majority of builds. And those radiators don't interfere with the 4-bay SSD/2.5 cage, the 2 5.25 slots, or the 2 toolless 3.5 HDD trays. Plus, it has more effective cooling. The one thing I don't like about the Air 540 is the vertical orientation of the 5.25 bays. I plan to add a Blu-ray burner so I can backup files to M-disc or similar "archive" media. I really don't trust putting discs in a vertical tray. Modding the cage to set it horizontal will impact the radiator mounting to some degree. So I have to figure that out.
@ALittleDIMM6 жыл бұрын
The Air 540 is a good case, and I don't disagree! Though, I think it's less about needing that many options and more about having them to support different configurations you may or may not want to better match hardware compatibility (perhaps you're water cooling and a taller reservoir would intrude on a top-mounted radiator, or you'd prefer top-mounting a rad, but your choice of RAM has clearance issues, for example). But it's good to have a wide variety of cases on the market for this reason! Good luck with your modifications!

@ALittleDIMM6 жыл бұрын
I've got a few videos on Corsair's HD fans you can check out, but the short story is either a hardware switch that's included with (some of) the fan packages, or through Corsair LINK with a Lighting Node Pro or a Commander Pro!

Question. The 280mm fan on top. Will it slide all the way to the side of the case?
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
You can slide it forward and back only (that is, the front of the case and the back of the case). They can't be moved closed to the side panels.
@Darks9077 жыл бұрын
ALittleDIMM good to know. Guess I'll go 240 then. Don't care for the center look and the nzxt rgb fans will look better closer to the front I think. Was wondering about the front air restrictions... with a rad front mount it can jump 15°c with the cover on... think it could be modified to sit a couple mm out? Maybe create an acrylic spacer plate between the case and front cover.
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
+Mitchell Dubois While I'm sure that's possible, it probably won't be very easy. The front panel attaches with these plastic mushroom clips and any additional space makes it quite difficult to keep on correctly. I'm sure someone more handy than I could do it!

@3abdooo3137 жыл бұрын
ok ik this is probably not related but which one is better (led wise) the corsairs u used in this vid or the aer rgbs?
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
It's largely preference! I'll have a video on this coming out soon, but in general, Corsair has more LEDs (which means smoother transitions with lighting effects at lower effect speeds and arguably more customization options), and a body design that allows light to escape from all sides of the fan, while NZXT offers 140mm and 120mm versions (Corsair only sells 120mm) and the CAM software has more effects, and is much easier to use, though the AER RGB body design only shows light from the intake side of the fan.
@3abdooo3137 жыл бұрын
the aer rgb does only show from the intake; however since u'd be using the Hue+, wont u be getting led's which would probably help if one of the aers isn't completely visible?
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
The only reason you'd get the AER RGB fans is for the RGB. If you don't see it, you're probably better off getting a normal fan and saving money. But how you arrange your lighting is up to your preference ;)

The Corsair HD fans can fit six to one hub. If you want to add more, you'll need a second lighting hub, which can synchronize to the first in the Corsair LINK software. The Sequential effect does not carry between hubs.

I have to decide whether to buy this or the s340 elite. I already have a 240mm and a 120mm radiator. Suggestions?
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
I've never worked with the S340 Elite, but I have played around with the S340. It's a pretty good case, though, I didn't find the cable management to be overly impressive. Front intake air flow is good, though! The Crystal Cube case may give you some airflow problems depending on how you arrange your fans. For a custom loop, the Anidees case would definitely be much friendlier. Lots of room in here! You can fit the 120mm in front (you won't need the bracket if you only use two 120mm fans, more or less solving the intake issue) and the 240mm radiator up top. I also personally think the cube looks better, but that's subjective and your opinion may be different. The S340 Elite will only fit one of those radiators, I believe. The top only supports a 120mm or 140mm fan, but the front will take either of the rads. Hope this helps!
@emmegio7 жыл бұрын
In the s340 I'd put the 240 in the front and the 120 in the back. It should fit. But I think I'm going to try this cube since you also said it looks better. Thanks man. Cheers from Italy!
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
Oh, sorry! I read and typed 120mm thinking 240 for some reason, my mistake! I guess either case will do you justice, just depends on what look you prefer! Do note that the cube has dark tinted panels and the glass on the S340 Elite is pretty clear. LEDs will subjectively look better in the cube, but if you don't plan on a lot of internal lighting, the S340 may be preferable!
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
I also somehow managed to think 240 was 280! Head isn't screwed on right today, reading is hard! Sorry about that, LOL

Hue + ... can't be recorded properly I guess... because I had no idea the colors were this vibrant in a white case. My eyes actually hurt a bit... So I'm off to pass out for a week. Been 15 hours of trouble shooting, wire running, updating and probably a lot of cussing. Time to take a break from this spectacular case. Wish I could link a photo. I think it looks pretty good for my first build with real looks, the cable laying is really impressive IMO.

@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
The HD120 RGB fans have two cables, one for lighting and one for RPM. The four pin RPM cables will work with the hub, the lighting ones will not. The HD120 fans come with a lighting controller, though.
@georgejones1117 жыл бұрын
thank you for the fast response. so how many controllers do you think I will need for 6 corsair hd120 fans like you did? newegg sells the fans w/o a controller so I was a little confused.

One controller supports six fans!

I currently have an In Win 303, wanting to change to something smaller and with better airflow (airflow on 303 isnt good enough for me), this will be a good option? With the front fans inside the case will fit 1 gtx 1080 FE?
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
This case's intake is not great. It's better if you install the fans without the bracket (meaning you won't be able to fit four 120s), but it won't be amazing. If you fit the fans on the inside instead, the intake should be fine, though I don't know how it compares to the InWin 303. A Founder's Edition 1080 should fit with front fans installed, but it might not if you also front-mount a radiator.

Yep, it does seem that way! Shame about Newegg, though. Perhaps you'll be able to find it somewhere else.

that radiator with hot air exhausted in the case it totally shit
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
That would only really negatively impact GPU temperatures, which I didn't look at here (I probably should have, though. This is an older video). My radiator wouldn't fit in the top mounting spot, so my only option was the front. Sorry!

I ended up buying a cheapo case just to fit in the monster 360 aio from artic, only to find that i can only use 5 out of the 6 fans included :( do you think it will effect the cooling performance much? (the case was only £50 new and "supports" 360 rads however so give some take some
@ALittleDIMM7 жыл бұрын
When a case says it supports a 360 AIO, it usually assumes only push or pull configurations, not push / pull. I'm pretty sure your temps won't be affected by dropping a fan, and if they are, it won't be by much.

I was never particularly good at speaking! Maybe I'll look into some of those tongue twister exercises... Don't worry, though, no frustration! 14. You can get in FOURTEEN! 120mm fans - counting the 3 in the XFX Thicc III graphics card and the one in the PSU, (That's the 10 as advertised, and "adders". I've got the 4 front inward, the top 4, the rear and the bottom ones facing out. Control is via Tiachi X399 and thru the included 6 channel expansion board. Still building, but the plan is a slow, quiet and long lasting cooling system, I'm also hoping it will draw in a minimum of dirt this way. It's now the end of 2019, and this case still has no competition. Corsair is expensive and plastic, and all the others are half thought thru. Anidees stuff is a tad pricier than some (and cheaper than some too (looking at you again team C)) BUT it's well thought out, quality all the way, and has no real competiton.
