I have to say Anika is becoming one of my favorite drummers. At 50 I don't say that lightly. Her musicality is refreshing with endless chops, thoughtful dynamics, and a style so unique.

I'd say the same, and at 22 I don't say that lightly. I'm really hysterical when it comes to music. Finding something for me that really moves me inside is really hard, and lately with Anika and Benny Greb I've been dancing like Groot!

Ultimately, to really reach her potential, I think, she needs to get into a group of similar talent. Imagine her in a group of the talent of a Yes or Rush, doing aggressive but melodic, complex music. There's only so far you can go as a solo drummer, and only that type of band would allow her to still express herself to the degree she is capable. She has the ability to drum in a very 'lyrical' way. Combined with a group of people who have that Yes/Rush'like ability to create complex music (that the muso's can appreciate) but that still has groove and flow and melody and emotion (that everyone can appreciate) she could really do some amazing things. But it really would need to be a group of people as good as her, all willing to be a group and serve the music, not to be a bunch of individuals who are constantly fighting for supremacy.

Hi anika nilles, how are you? My name is Maxwell I live in Brazil. I have a baby of 7 months and since his first days of life he is paralyzed watching his pikalar video. When he is playing with something else and I put his video, he stops everything and focuses his attention on television. I am a drummer too and I have been trying to instill him into being a drummer as well. But the funny thing is that he can not focus his attention on any other video, just the pikalar. I am your fan, congratulations on your work and it will be a pleasure to have this message answered.

Of course then we have small echo of it again at 3:38 Hihat. That is The Masterpiece Ladies and Gentlemen! Thank you for this Anika - pure pleasureness to here that.
