Iamhereblossom whoever’s doing lead vocals/all of the vocals gives it away a lot of the time, i guess they just refer to themselves collectively - not intended - as the songwriters. you often find individual credits on physical copies of the records though, so worth checking.

I visited my best friend of 8 years and he took a picture of my curly hair, wrote "I'm getting lost in your curls" and tagged it as bluish. Only months later did my other friend see the photo and told me to look up the lyrics to this song. Halfway through the first verse I started to cry. With each line I was transported to moments where he would squeeze my hand, the times I would fall asleep on him on the subway. I was so filled with his love when I read these lyrics. It almost made me feel like I was in a movie. I had never been so moved before.

It's not about eating a girl out, but Avey's relationship with Kria that led to their divorce. The whole song is about where a guy sits and watches his former girlfriend/wife sleep and thinks back onto a simpler time. Part of the reason why they don't play it live. Beautiful song.

I was introduced to Animal Collective a couple years before Merriiweather Post Pavilion was released (which is a genius LP that's impossible for me to even put into words), and I'll forever be in debt to Animal Collective, because their music truly changed my life. In my opinion, they're the most original band, who've created a sound that only belongs to them, and it'd be impossible to even try duplicate. Starting with Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished, and their entire discography, including their side projects and solo albums, I'm a huge fan of it all.

I remember getting introduced to AnCo and this song about a month after a breakup with a girl i had been with and living with for 3 years. This song fucking tore me apart. I can finally listen to it and enjoy the memories and how utterly brilliant a song it it. But at the time, it just tore to the core.
