I still count it as fate, but when I got my New Horizons copy, my Marshal, Felicity, Purrl, and Merry there were already buddy buddy with me. They had been some of my favorite New Leaf villagers and i’m not sure if it was a bug, but them seemingly having had good past interactions in New Horizons with me despite it being the first time the Island Rep met them filled me with joy, as if they remembered all the time we spent together.
