One thing to watch out for if you isolate your wasp trees is that if any of them are cedars, Isabelle may decorate them in December, which will force the wasps to spawn in a random tree somewhere else the next day. Found that one out the hard way!

When I didcovered I could give tools to the villagers, One of the first things I did was gifting Ankha with golden tools. She deserves it. My golden queen.

Or you could just hold a net and shake the tree from the front... the wasps spawn next to you and take a second to start moving so you can easily catch them without running. The only way it could go wrong is if a villager is standing too close and thinks you are talking to them instead of catching wasps. Personally I keep only 24 not fruit trees on my island. Bells items and wasps only spawn in not fruit trees. 5 wasps + 2 items + 15 bells = 22 trees. I keep two extra just to be safe.

The other way it can go wrong is if there is something blocking the square to one side of the tree, which can be an item or the edge of the terrain. That will make the nest land at your feet and make it very hard to catch the wasp. In that situation you want to clear the obstruction or, if you can't, stand slightly toward the obstruction so the nest lands on the opposite side. If both sides are blocked you can try shaking the tree from the side, but there is the danger that you will shake the tree again rather than trigger the net.

You can also choose your islanders raincoats and rainhat too, i figured this out early on in the game and its one of my favorite things to do once i open Able Sisters, too bad they cant wear pants cause then it would even be more fun designing outfits (Like Isabell wears a skirt, so why not the rest of them? but then again KK Slider doesn't even wear clothes at all.......)

I think it is different each day, but what he's saying is if you shake it and it has a wasp, that was the tree that day, so dig it up and move it. The reason he fenced them off is because the nest will stay there until someone shakes it, then it will move to a different tree.

Just carry a net and catch the wasps,. I collect them over the week or so and stash them in my house and sell them to Flick when he's around, I usually get about 100,000 bells on wasps this way :)

Since villagers display some of the stuff you gift to them, once you give them a shovel or an umbrella it may turn up in their home as furniture (...and ruin the design).

I'll be giving all of my villagers color-coordinated watering cans. :D As far as Wasp Trees go: I was under the very distinct impression that these change daily. I don't think I've ever gotten wasps out of the exact same five trees every single day. Does it only change if you shake them all out of the trees?? Meaning if I isolate them, I can shake every other tree safely every day?? I'm still working on Shady Shakedown so this info is very helpful assuming I've understood it correctly lol.

Yeah, they never move unless you shake them. That’s why you’re able to soft reset and go back to the same tree 🙂

What I always do is I use my net anytime I shake a tree, and make sure that you are more in front of the tree when you do it. That way if there is a wasp, then you can catch it right away and avoid getting stung.

If you're concerned about wasps, here's a better trick than spending 20 minutes moving 5 trees: go inside ANY building while they're chasing you. The Museum and resident services are open 24/7, as is the airport. Don't waste 20 minutes to move 5 trees. And yes, it does take 20 minutes cause its like 4 minutes per tree, 3 of which is loading screens since this requires us to COMPLETELY CLOSE THE GAME

@@katherynedarrah4245 it's 20 minutes and then you never deal with them again. That's the point of the video, if the wasp trees aren't ever shaken, no new ones will spawn. So you move all the trees on one day, and then you never have to worry.

I've marked mine with different color flowers, red day 1, white day 2, etc. And even if I use the shake-then-close method and don't let it save, the trees *will* change, not all of them, but some will.
