Yes! Never knew of this island before as I play seldomly. I stumbled upon it today and I got rid of everything except 1 fishing pole to make room for sharks as they are worth more than any of my tools. Over 500,000 when sold! Nice!

Ocean - I got fin island while villager hunting the other day. Tossed back every sucker fish I caught to make room for the more expensive ones. Then I sold them all to CJ for over 600k bells. Definitely worth it! For me it only took 20 nmts

On my first ACNH island I had sharks all the time, even more when it rained. Then after swimming and sea creatures, the number was reduced. Then on each subsequent island, I've had a really low shark and exotic fish count. I wondered if it had to do with how you get different furniture and clothing drops-not always the stuff you are hoping for. I had great stuff on my first island but ever since the items have been of little use or interest to me. Like I get a lot of male clothing and no female tops. I like my current island the best but the stuff is the worst. Do you think Nintendo has been playing with the random drop rate since the beginning? Thanks for keeping us updated on all things ACNH.

I got all mine (except the sun fish, obviously) yesterday. All on my own island without any bait (& I didn’t try catching that many fish, I just got the rod out whenever I passed a fin). I was expecting them all to be the suckerfish because I’d already caught three of those, so I was over the moon!

There are several mystery islands that require ladders and poles. If you ever land on money island and you don't have a pole, your hooped!

I went to 30 nook mile islands yesterday looking for a new villager and didn't get any rare island. In fact, I have never had a rare island unless you count bamboo which I don't. I also didn't find any islander I was hoping for. This whole mystery island thing kind of sucks. On my main island, though, I am not having trouble finding sharks, except the saw shark which I haven't found yet. Also, of course, haven't found the one that's not available until July.
