@@reverbandchill ReverbAndChill, NL is great and NH sucks. A lot of people bought the NH game and hated it and said that NL is far better, some of them went back to playing NL. Others, myself included, have watched videos online and decided that they would never buy the NH because it doesn't look as good as NL and they're playing NL instead. A lot of people hate NH and said that they got bored real quick, they also pointed out all the good things in NL that are missing in NH and there's a lot of them. NL has better music, better atmosphere, better interaction, Club LOL, less cluttered stuff in the towns, not too much content to the point of making you feel burned out, and more focus on the villagers and interaction with villagers over designing your own town, etc, etc, and that's just the tip of the iceberg, there are plenty of other things that the former players of NH have pointed out. There's also the fact that the NH game is a well thought out deviously crafted trap and a propaganda tool that makes braindead and oblivious players subject themselves and their villagers to a Nook dictatorship. A dictatorship that in their blindness they love and support, in fact, they will kiss the very ground that the Nook dictator walk on and defend him tooth and nails like brainwashed cult members defend their cult leader, the players who cry "blasphemy!" and "slander!" and defend the Nook dictator at all costs are gladly cheering their own oppression and clamoring that it be extended, violently if need be, to their neighbors, and any criticism leveled at the Nook dictator is considered "fake news", It reminds me of the Trumpist cult. People explain why NL is good and NH is bad: kzbin.info/aero/PLzG_3q50DuPn6eV9yLucmFdqizmWIDHvf Think on this. Stop subjecting yourself and your villagers to this (if you love them). Take your copy of NH and throw it into a garbage can (throw the Switch console into the garbage can too for good measure, the Switch sucks and the 3DS is better, unlike the lame Switch and Wii U consoles, the 3DS is great and has lots of good games, I would not trade my precious 3DS for anything in the world let alone for a Switch or a Wii U). Throwing your copy of NH into a garbage can is the best thing you could ever do for yourself and your villagers. You and your villagers don't deserve to be subjected to a Nook dictatorship and you don't deserve to play a game that can't hold a candle to NL. Oh and one last thing, how long do you think the U.S.A and the rest of the American continent, heck the rest of the world, can go on practicing late stage capitalism, mass consumerism, reverse robinhood, greed, waste, pollution, exploitation of the planet's ressources and of other human beings, fascism, censorship, and propaganda games like NH that promote and encourage those things before humanity/mankind inevitably brings about its own destruction? And in the battle to end all of those destructive practices and making a better world, what are you personally going to do to make a difference? Think on these things. Michelle.

I agree with a lot of your points, but I do appreciate my NH game enough to not throw it out, hah. The graphics makes it hard for me to return to NL. But every other thing considered, I miss it like crazy and would prefer it any day over NH.

I think a big piece is that New Horizons doesn't use harmonicas or other similar instruments the way that the previous AC games did. Like there's a certain charm to the "fuzzy" sound that New Horizons just doesn't seem to have. I mean tons of people have said this before, but I wish there was an option to use previous soundtracks in NH. Or maybe even just have the OSTs the way that Super Mario All-Stars did with all three games

I apologize for bad English, I'm using google translator. I don't even know how to explain how much this game means to me. I have been playing this game recently, as well as others, like zelda, resident evil, shadow of the colossus ... new leaf, despite being something different from everything I played before, it has an incredible community, where I met very special people. Im trying to forget a great love, which had a tragic end, in addition to the death of my grandmother, who passed away a few weeks ago. some of the songs in this game awaken a feeling of sadness mixed with hope. they can represent exactly what I’ve been feeling lately. It is not easy to deal with sadness and grief, but it is necessary. we are all going through difficult times with this pandemic, especially here in brazil. but there are still little things that bring us joy, like this game. lately, few things have made me want to live. this game is one of them. 7PM, 10PM and 2AM are my favorites.

ACNL was my whole childhood. I remember begging my Mom to buy it on the day it got released, she did and I was soooo happy playing it while there was a beautiful sunset. I even remember what I was wearing on that day, so much meaning has it for me. I made new friends on this game and overall just enjoyed every minute of it. Playlists like this help me to remember those days and feel safe. I miss my Mother so much because without her, I wouldn’t have had a 3Ds or this game. Wish I could go back in time and live those days again. ❤️

i played this game a lot when i was younger, and i came back to it recently. my dad passed away a couple of months ago, and i was clearing up his house when i thought that it might be nice to play some new leaf as i had my 3ds on me. it was 5pm when purrl came up to me and said, "Do you ever get sad when an old memory resurfaces? It's funny. Even a good memory can make you cry. Of course we try to forget our most painful memories, but there's always one lurking. Kitten, it's good to live in the moment and not worry too much about the past." i already had an attachment to 5pm in new leaf, but that really hit hard for me. this game has helped me through a lot, and i'm thankful for that. thank you for reading this far if you did, have a good day or night

I love new horizons. Theres so much to do, so many wonderful features. But somehow, it feels like it's lacking that sense of comfort- of home. Maybe its just because I grew up with New leaf, in the impressionable years of being a teenager, and that Im biased. But I cant deny how... strangely impersonal NH feels. Like many things nowadays. Nostalgia is prevalent.
