Animal Crossing News Announced! (December Details)

If they do publish a new animal crossing game or HD rendition of some kind the one thing I want the most is to add more personality to the animals themselves. Pocket camp does this surprisingly well in the loading screens, they give info on each animal character. Sure it varies how much info is given but it’s something. I hope it’s not by DESIGN that the animal character that have the “cute” type only want to be a star or the “jock” characters only want to pump gains or something. Did you know that Melba was spoiled as a kid? Or that Erik is constantly confused with jingle? Info like this would be fun to learn from the animals themselves in a main animal crossing game.

It did get old fast. It feels really repetitive and like I’m just going the same thing over and over. I’m looking forward to a new console game, but that will probably 2026 or 2027.

I'm starting to warm up to complete. Still missing the friends market now i'm struggling to find perfect fruits and I struggle to get gifts from the new meeting spot. For me, massive downside is I can't "complete" the items because I can't play the OK motors game because the flipping of the tiles affects my epilepsy even after 1 game.

for a new launch title i would like to see the return of NPCs and the addition of pocket camp items to the catalogue. Celeste should have her Observatory back, and we can make constellations again like in wild world. Dr Shrunk should still be the one to teach us emotes and have a pop up stall where we can buy emotes to teach villagers. Copper & Booker should come back. They should have a guard hut where the lost and found is but also where you van reset how animals act. At night they should patrol outside warning the player of scorpions and tarantulas nearby in certain areas (which alerts the player as to where they might find them) Bring back the post office trio! as an extentsion of the town hall, bring back Pelly during the day, Phyllis during the night and the ability to shoot down Pete or catch him early in the morning and perhaps he gives you a task of delivering the mail or finding it for him to deliver. Bring back Kappns family and their island as a seasonal event mayybe even during it, he travels with on family member and it changes each day. have a city area like city folk, that you get to via train and sometimes you may meet villagers on the train or special NPCs. idk just ideas

I've been enjoying pocket camp since it came out the first day and I've been playing for 7 years straight. Thank you very much enjoying getting all the benefits. As for what's next? I can't afford a new switch 2 so I'm enjoying complete instead till I can afford a new game Designs

Still haven't put a DESIGN in my game...only stretch goal left! Decorated my campsite before I got my island decorated...still play ACNH every day! (and still missing just 1 DIY😅)

I wish they’d put half this effort into Animal crossing on switch. People who prefer console versions of animal crossing are being left in the dust. I wonder if AI could help them speed up and save time on the development of the game so it could be a launch title. I don’t know.

Lmfao. they spent 10 years developing ACNH and then provided so much additional content. Do you know how much more simple it was to make this new game/app? It's essentially the same exact game with an update. Any more content added to the console games will be brand spanking new coding and all that jazz. They paid way more attention to the console game and put way more effort into it. Nothing is ever good enough for you types

"half this effort" is wild considering they've put way more effort into new horizons than pocket camp. Pocket Camp Complete is literally just pocket camp with some changes. It's not an entirely new game or anything

Anything they would/could make for the console would be brand spanking new coding and all that tech talk. Pocket camp complete was just the original game recycled into something slightly different in order to be played completely offline. I wouldn't call that more effort than new horizons , which released all kinds of additional content before they announced there would be no more updates for the game

@ which game gets more updates? More new events? More items? A lot of updates the switch game received were just adding elements present in ACNL. I love the switch game but I see more ongoing investment in ACPC

I think part of the problem is it's the same development team as the Splatoon team, and the Splatoon games are taking all of the development resources away from Animal Crossing. There's probably also a difference between how mobile and console games are developed - mobile games are often seen as an ongoing project that is never truly "finished." Console games are seen as a project that has a distinct end of development, when they are essentially finished. The ongoing nature of even console Animal Crossing games kinda goes against the view that they are a finished product rather than an ongoing project, but Nintendo chose to have a distinct end to development. Kinda sucks that they don't even update the game for the numerous crossover events, making them very one sided and less interesting to players that can't participate in the events directly.

I hope they update New Horizons and give us more flexibility with layering clothing and allowing more bridges and trees to be added closer to water. Maybe even allowing you to expand and connect islands with bridges! DESIGN.

I wish they would talk more about animal crossing because I don’t play animal campsite of whatever I just play animal crossing so the other one should have its own website. I don’t like this animal crossing campsite or whatever it is is not anything I want to do or watch and it makes me not wanna play animal crossing because nothing new is happening there so why am I gonna buy the new switch and I’m just being honest , I’m a senior citizen ❤❤❤❤❤❤and I have the right to say what I feel❤❤❤❤❤
